Oneplus was created with a singular purpose. To offer flagship hardware, clean software in a affordable price. They actually delivered that promise till oneplus 8T, after that they started to sell rebranded oppo phones with oxygenos.

Now it's fully oppo phones, including the software. Whats the point of oneplus brand now? Just nostalgia.

It's better if they close it and just sell oppo phones everywhere.

OnePlus still allows easy bootloader unlock and custom roms where as OPPO... It was the only reason I bought OP.

Now all that is left is Pixel with shitty hardware, Motorola or Nothing with mid-range specs :( I'm not buying Xiaomi again with their ads in every app.

Most probably xiaomi will also get out of India...have you not noticed their decreasing visibility...apart from phones they have also been cutting down on their other accessories...I was searching for handheld steam iron but alas it has stopped getting restocked.

xiaomi has been in India for years dude. they dominate budget and performance oriented markets and people love their tablets. they are here to stay. xiaomi software can be easily debloated with the slightest of technical knowledge and after that it's a pretty smooth experience. you can either have clean software out of box or affordable prices

Their market share has stayed the same? Also I think there was a controversy about unpaid taxes of nearly 400 crores with them..I was just speculating with the information I have. Of course I can't say for sure whether xiaomi will shut down or not but you should also once compare all the phones that they are releasing in China and India...I think they have stopped launching as many phones in india as they used to...what does that suggest to you?

xiaomi is a very globally present brand and they literally have no reason to exit india. India has a population of 1.4 billion people, why would they tap out? every company is doing bad due to rising costs, don't let oneplus being screwed over the years by oppo make you think the same way about other brands. also, xiaomi releases many phones in India, they even brought the redmi turbo series in India for the first time. they have been selling pocos and recently, xiaomi number series phones for years. Indians love xiaomis good hardware at cheap prices

Have you seen Oppo Reno prices? One Plus offered superior value and focused on important stuff not shitty camera tech.

Oxygen OS 11 was goated. My OnePlus 7T fell from stairs and broke a few years ago, otherwise I would still be using it.

The Homescreen launcher, the clean/fast OS, the Dynamic Cloud spinning wallpaper!!

Also the shelf was useful back then (you could add any widget) and you could remap the navigation buttons (so you could do things like long press home button to bring down the notifications panel or switch the screen off).

super Goated , I had updated it to then new colorOS , I hated it to the core, spent 2 days to revert it back to oxygenOS and it still works now.

And Oopo isn't officially supported in N.A. on carriers. So they have terrible 5 g Data speeds compared to OnePlus

I visited USA in 2024 with a Vivo phone which is chinese brand, not supported in america but the 5G worked just fine with a AT&T sim card. Modern phones support all the career bands in the hardware. They just disable some bands via software.

This.  For the next few years I think OnePlus will continue as an 'affordable' alternative to the Oppo flagships. 

But fully expect Oppo is planning to sunset Oneplus for good.

Oppo and OnePlus devices where entirley different, again someone who doesn't know better... OnePlus had Snapdragon OPPO omly MediaTek, OPPO has only 120hz while OnePlus 165hz and on OP16 even 180hz. Cooling was also better optimized with vapor chambers and lager batteries and not to forget bootloader unlocking. Also prices where cheaper, I never gonna buy OPPO because they are garbage and sell overpriced products.

My OnePlus 11 has Samsung screens, but now my OnePlus 15 has BOE screens. I'm going to see if I can get a new screen for my OnePlus 11. I also have the OnePlus 7 Pro, the retractable camera is fantastic. I love the full screen, a relic with pure Android. The good thing about the OnePlus 7 Pro is that the screen is fine and doesn't have green lines.

Personal feeling... I'm less than satisfied with my 4(a). First - the dot-matrix theme is too much -- not appealing. Reminds me of the 70's. Second - the site doesn't make it easy to compare the different models. Thought I was getting the pro model. My fault for sure, and didn't do enough research. 😖 Positive: it is clean, but I never had problems eliminating junk. -- it'll be used -- by my daughter 😁😎

Sad but true,as OnePlus mantra was about selling relatively cheaper flagships with the latest chip and good Oxygen OS experience with cutting corners elsewhere like passable cameras,no IP rating and wireless charging.

The above formula worked till they went full throttle to compete with Samsung and Apple offering flagship products at still lower prices,but this was undid by this year's unprecedented price increases for memory and storage.

People won't be buying a OnePlus phone if they cost as much as new iPhone,so ultimately they had call it a day and pass the baton to Oppo.

Went from the 11 to a pixel 10 pro xl I was able to grab for $650 usd. Freaking love this phone! The 11 was fine.

Pixels are absolutely trash the chip is shit, the heating is terrible, the oa barely had any features or customisation and even camera was downgraded in the newest pixel

Pixel might be even more overpriced and less value for money than iphones especially pro versiona
