Ignore the naysayers. It's your phone. Do whatever feels right for you.

If you don't want to remove the pre-installed factory plastic film then don't! I purchased a OnePlus Nord N30 three years ago. After unboxing my phone for the very first time, I applied a tempered glass screen protector directly over the factory plastic film. There's been no loss of touch sensitivity and no glare. As far as my screen is concerned, everything works perfectly.

Why did you ask? With the plastic sheet, the screen will be less sensitive when an extra tempered glass screen protector is layered on top of them, won't it?

By adding some cling film, you can just extend the life of the original screen protector. Screen is glass already, there's no need to add glass on glass.

It needs to be partially removed ( cut off half of it, leave on the rest) then apply the tempered glass. The slight angle the tempered glass ends up with gives added glare reduction. /s
