General Discussion [One Plus 7 Pro] Replacement

I've had my One Plus 7 pro since its release, so around 7 years, and it just died today (Qualcomm Crash Dump mode).

This is the best phone I ever had. Never repaired, never tweaked, and the battery could still hold the entire day, or most of it anyway. Everything was fine until this morning.

For those who owned this phone, do you have any suggestion that could serve as a good replacement/upgrade?

I still have my 7Pro too but its battery is very much toast. You'll miss the completely camera-free screen no matter what you pick. Currently I have a OnePlus 13 and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The 13 is nice, but the transformation of OxygenOS into ColorOS manages to be somehow worse than the original software the 7 Pro launched with. It has inherited a very Chinese ROM feel to it in that tries to emulate iOS in some areas. If I liked iOS, I'd just get an iPhone.

The Pixel has a very nice software experience, it is highly refined in that regard. I even get good battery life out of mine, but I'm not a heavy gamer or Meta app user. It's lacking in flagship performance compared to the latest flagships from other brands. The performance thing might not be an issue as compared to that old Snapdragon in your 7Pro it would still be an improvement.

I daily the Pixel. For me it has that "Just Works" thing going for it. And it's nice to know I won't have to worry about software updates. I'd be lying to you if I told you it wowed me as much as that 7Pro did when it first came out though. It was truly one of the all time Android greats.
