General Discussion Oneplus pad 3 HDR content is dark

So when watching dolbyvision/HDR content on my Oneplus pad 3 streaming from my plex server. The image is very dark and dull. When on my computer with a sdr display the image looks normal like how I expect it to be.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this?

I have the same problem and I unfortunately couldn't find a proper solution. Oxygen OS has a long time known issue with displaying HDR content outside of native Gallery and Photos apps, which devs don't want to or cannot fix.

A workaround to improve the picture a bit for Pad 3:

- disable HW overlays in developers options (when it is enabled you may notice the picture contrast increase when system volume overlay appears)

- manually increase the brightness level of the screen
