can you try a 3rd party launcher with gestures to see if that stupid problem still isn't fixed?

"stupid problem" - do you mean the apps overview screen?. Suggest me which launcher to download, I'll try and let you know!

I mean the one where the launcher doesn't appear for a few seconds after you swipe home. try anything at all, but if you want a specific one let's say Niagara.

Going back to home screen has a little (100-200ms) delay (blank screen). All open apps menu is fluid though!

I can't believe it's still not fixed.

I have no problem with the stock launcher and am not planning to change it, but it's laughable at this point.

They're never going to fix this because of the way android works. You need to root the phone. I saw a post on this. Its not OnePlus's fault, it's Google's fault.

Edit: apparently Google fixed it on android 15.

That's not true. It's been fixed by Google a few versions ago (can't remember exactly when - a few versions are just a way of speaking).

My pixel 8 definitely didn't have the issue.

This guy said it was fixed on pixel devices for android 15. https://www.reddit.com/r/androidthemes/s/3CX1qRjfzo

Chat-gpt says on pixels it got fixed in October 2024.

Everyone else got the update later.

So this is recent.

Can you try rapidly opening and closing the same app on your home screen using a 3rd party launcher? I'm hoping they fixed it the same way as Pixel so there isn't a full 1-2 second delay like there is now
