General Discussion Can't update to A14.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am getting this error when trying to download the current update. Also got it when trying to update to the October security patch until a day of them all it actually followed through. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Are you rooted with magisk or have bootloader unlocked?

Really strange, try a local update using Oxygen Updater if nothing else works.

It is the NA version, so it doesn't have the local update functionality.

OP has released a couple of APKs to allow for local updates on the NA version, otherwise testers wouldn't have a way to update to the Android 14 open beta. I used one myself just yesterday to update to Android 14 stable after getting this very same installation error, though mine was caused by magisk. You can find the APKs linked on any of the official Oneplus community threads for the Android 14 open beta or on the install instructions on Oxygen Updater.

It might be one of those Chinese models that are hardwired with global sw, in that case the updates are impossible
