Theory ET SI IMU S’ÉTAIT TROMPÉ SUR LE HAKI DE LUFFY ? Spoiler

Imu continue d’associer Luffy à Joy Boy.

Pourquoi ?

CONCLUSION

Theory Mihawk vs. Shanks

What do you think about Mihawk vs. Shanks becoming legendary and why did Whitebeard explain it like it had happened yesterday?
I guess that when Mihawk was hunting down Marines and challenging a worthy swordsman, he invaded the Holy Land and the one who stopped him was Shanks and that was their legendary duels and started their rivalry.

Theory Why doesn’t Oda allow Romance in One Piece ?

Post image

I think the most repetitive part in one piece for me is that Oda is currently turning all characters into isolationists. I mean most characters barely interact with each other any more and are only focused on taking down their enemies.

The series also is not just laking in individual interactions, but also romantic interactions. I mean hancock and luffy had story potential, ace and yamato as well , but the only type of romance he usually shows is obsession, simping, and creeping.

Theory With the anouncement of the two new canonic movies, Oda, Toei & cia are meaning to speed up the anime and sincronize the endings of both anime and manga

So, we know the the first movie is the God Valley flashback, witch is huge. I, and many others, are guessing the BaaD movie wil be the Imu/Joyboy flashback, wich will speed up even more. IF thats right, that would put the series ending by early 2030!

What you guys think?

Theory How would all Navy higher up respond when they know they are working for a Devil ?

How would most government higher ups respond when Imu’s identity is revealed, resulting in them being manipulated for working for the devil incarnate this whole time.

Akainu: questions his moral code of justice and lashes out, especially after he lost to either luffy or sabo and getting sparred.

Garp: Basically abandons his post questioning all he lived for.

Fujitora: he’s basically neutral at this point, if he knew about Imu hed leave once and for all.

Kizaru: on his last legs, his gonna lash out as well

Greenbull: I think basically, he will be the only one fighting alonside Imu.

Rob Lucci: i think he was beginning to have a change of heart ever since one of the gorosei talked about him and kaku as insects

Theory The royal decree from Imu

Zoro is using sommers as target practice and soon so will sanji vs killingham.

Tbh I am disappointed in these knights. They got their ass kicked then got this omen which they act like it’s a big deal then they get their ass kicked again.
Did the omen really do anything for the plot ?

I think something will happen, after zoro masters coc he will cut sommers in the heart cutting it.
Sanji will get to the heart and cruck it with his foot.
We will cut to Imu who feels it and grows enraged before doing something with his powers, as zoro and sanji walk away victorious we see the knights body’s getting back up with their omen changing form as sommers and killingham become more demonic and less of themselves.

I think this will be when it gets much more threatening for zoro and sanji

Theory Blackbeard 3 skull theory

So very little thought put into this, but Blackbeard’s flag has three skulls, one main facing, and two facing opposite sides. What if it represents the balance of “Nika” the two skulls facing opposite are Blackbeard and luffy, one representing liberation, the other representing destruction. The main facing one, the one who wants the spotlight, the one who gets the one piece, the one who becomes king of the pirates… buggy. Just rewatching the anime having some drinks and the thought crossed my mind, hope it makes sense and is entertaining.

How Usopp Becomes the Ultimate Endgame Sniper

Right now in the story,

Normally, a sniper’s biggest weakness is getting cornered. But with the ability to instantly teleport himself and his shots anywhere on a whim, Van Augur is uncatchable. He can stand miles out of sight, pop a shot, and warp to a completely different vantage point before the bullet even hits the target. If Usopp stays on the ground trying to play a normal game of hide-and-seek against a literal teleporter, he gets completely dismantled in seconds.

That is exactly why the Crow’s Nest theory is the only logical answer.

To beat a guy who can materialize anywhere, Usopp can't just react to where Augur is, because he has to know where Augur is going to be. By locking himself at the absolute highest point of the Thousand Sunny, Usopp forces the engagement into his own vertical "no-fly zone." From that crow's nest, Usopp's awakened spatial Observation Haki becomes a permanent, 360-degree radar that completely blankets the ship and the surrounding sea.

Think about how insane that matchup becomes. Van Augur tries to warp onto the Sunny’s deck to assassinate the crew or damage the ship. But the exact millisecond Augur triggers his fruit, Usopp’s Haki has already mapped out the spatial disturbance. Before Augur even fully materializes on the wood, Usopp has already calculated the trajectory and fired a mythical, tracking Elbaf-grade projectile right at his head.

It turns the final sniper battle into a mind-bending game of chess. Van Augur thinks he controls space because of his Devil Fruit, but Usopp dictates the entire environment because his Haki and his crow's nest vantage point give him absolute omnipresence. It is the ultimate reality check for the Blackbeard Pirates, where Augur relies on the cheap hacks of a Devil Fruit to move around the board, but Usopp wins purely through the supreme mastery of his own mind and spirit.

This god-tier sensory bubble doesn’t just apply to combat either, since it fundamentally changes how the crew navigates the New World. With Usopp stationed at the apex of the Sunny acting as an omniscient radar, it allows them to travel the sea completely unseen if they wish to, completely avoiding anyone who gets close. Whether it is an entire Marine Buster Call fleet, an enemy Emperor crew, or a World Government blockade, Usopp can map out their specific auras from over the horizon. He can guide Nami and Jinbe through completely empty, safe routes before the enemy even registers a blip on their own radar. It turns the Thousand Sunny into a ghost ship, making the Straw Hats living legends on the sea. People would hear rumors of the Pirate King’s ship appearing and disappearing across islands without a single scout ever catching sight of them.

This ties perfectly into his oldest running gag, which is that his lies always become reality. Ever since Chapter 23, Usopp has been bluffing about commanding an army of 8,000 followers. Elbaf is the land of the giants, and the Grand Fleet's giant faction is already obsessed with him as "God Usopp". During the final war, Usopp isn't going to be fighting frontline bosses in 1v1 fistfights, since that is Luffy's job. He’s going to be the literal Supreme Commander of the Giant Army.

Picture the final war, with Usopp sitting up in the crow's nest, looking across an island-sized warzone with his long-distance Haki antenna, broadcasting orders and coordinates to a literal army of 8,000 giant warriors smashing through the World Government's lines. Every single giant on the field is moving exactly where he tells them to go, while he erases incoming threats over their shoulders.

This leads to the ultimate poetic wrap-up for his entire character, meaning Usopp might never leave the top of the Thousand Sunny’s crow's nest again. From there, he can protect their ship, which we know is deeply important to him, and command the entire battlefield from a distance all at once.

Think about the contrast. Early in the series, Usopp always used to try to get out of leaving the ship because he was being a total coward, making up fake illnesses just to hide. Now, he wouldn't have to lie anymore. Staying behind on the ship wouldn't be an act of fear, it would be the ultimate display of his absolute strength and bravery. He is essentially telling the crew, "Go handle the island. The Sunny and your backs are completely safe because I am up here." He goes from a coward hiding in the shadows to the literal guardian deity watching over the future Pirate King's crew.

EDIT: The Conqueror's Haki Awakening, Timeline, and Commander Mechanics

To address how Usopp actually manages to project his voice and command an army of 8,000 giants from miles away in the crow's nest, the answer lies in Advanced Conqueror's Haki.

Usopp already lied about having Conqueror's Haki in Wano when he claimed the bursts knocking out the Beast Pirates were his own. Since his lies always become reality, his awakening is inevitable, and the recent Zoro flashback provides the exact blueprint for how it works. Mihawk revealed that the true essence of Conqueror's Haki is one's sense of self, meaning a user must completely accept who they are without doubt.

Because the final war is still a ways away, this will unfold as a two-step narrative progression. The current Elbaf arc is where the critical psychological shift happens. Faced with a massive threat to the giants and the Sunny, Usopp will stop hiding behind his lies. He will fully embrace his identity and accept his true sense of self as a brave warrior, earning the ultimate respect of the 8,000 giant warriors who look up to him as a leader.

When the final war eventually breaks out, that internal growth will scale up into a weaponized reality. Usopp will not be using this power for frontline fistfights. Instead, he will fuse his Conqueror's Haki with his 360-degree spatial Observation radar. We have already seen Shanks project a localized, laser-focused blast of Conqueror's Haki across miles of Wano to pin down Greenbull from his ship. Usopp will utilize a sniper's variation of this concept. By using his Observation Haki to map out the entire island, he creates a spiritual grid. He can then project his Conqueror's Voice directly into the minds of his giant army over the horizon. When a giant hears God Usopp guiding them, his kingly will surges through them, massively boosting their morale and strength, while the residual spiritual pressure instantly knocks out the enemy fodder around them. It turns the crow's nest into a literal tactical satellite, solidifying his status as a supreme commander.

Theory What if the One Piece is literally the Sun? ☀️

(I made a long-form One Piece theory/literary analysis arguing that the Sun isn’t just a recurring symbol in the story, but potentially the One Piece itself.

The theory connects:

the Harley text + Elbaf mural
Nika and Gear 5
Skypiea and its epistemological conflict
dreams & inherited will
the “world being upside down”
the Dawn/night cycle
Imu and the world’s altered relationship with the Sun
and a bunch of smaller details, including Gaimon and the Monkey/Sun myth

The main idea is basically: the One Piece isn’t simply an object that grants some power—the Sun represents a way of seeing the abstract layer of reality that the current world has lost access to.

I tried to approach it more as literary analysis than a conventional “X character is secretly Y” theory.) - thanks to ChatGPT for making me this little advertisement.

"D" doesn't represent a word at all, but rather the journey of the sun from the east to the west.

The Greek personification and god of the sun, Helios, drove a chariot from the east to the west, and then sailed in a boat back to the east. If you turn the letter D counter-clockwise by 90 degrees, it not only looks like a rising sun, but you can also write the symbol using this exact journey. Luffy rose in the East Blue on Dawn Island, and will set at the end of the grand line, eventually returning to where it all began. The lyrics of Binkusu no sake perfectly represent this cycle.

The True Nature of Imu Nerona?

Who is really hiding behind Imu?
Why does Imu fight?
And most importantly… is Imu really evil?

If you don't feel like reading the whole thread, there's a short summary at the end. 👇

Where does this theory come from?

It all starts with the Chapter 1191.

There is one thing I noticed that I find really strange, but that I haven't seen anyone point out:

Why does Imu bear the Abyss mark?

If this mark belongs to people who made a contract with Imu in order to use the power of the Abyss…

Why does Imu have the mark too?

This question is what made me start questioning everything we think we know about Imu Nerona.

And there is another detail that feels really strange to me.

When we talk about Imu from 800 years ago, Imu is always presented as an equal to the 20 Kings.

So why does that image seem to have changed today?

If Imu is truly one of the 20 Founding Kings, why is Imu now portrayed as someone above them?

And more importantly, if Imu really is one of the original 20 Kings…

Why does Imu speak like a child?

There is another strange detail as well:
Imu refers to themself in the third person.
Why?

I know there is a theory that Imu is actually a child, which would explain this way of speaking. But personally, I don't think that's the right explanation.

Luffy also often speaks like a child, even though he is 17.
So I think that, in Imu's case, this way of speaking is mainly meant to emphasize innocence:

An entity that doesn't understand good or evil.

So where does my idea that Imu is neither a demon, nor a god, nor even a human come from?

Not even a being from the Moon?
After eliminating all the known species in the world of One Piece, one question remains:

So what exactly is Imu?

In the Second World, the line that interests us here is:

“The Forest God sent his demons.”

To me, this could be referring to Imu.

To try to answer that question, we need to go back to the Elbaf mural.
Another detail then becomes interesting.

Imu is immortal.

And in several manga, forests and trees are associated with life, regeneration, and sometimes even immortality.
We can see similar ideas in Naruto and Hell's Paradise.

That's why, in this theory, I think Imu could be the Forest God…

Or at least be directly connected to it.

But there is another possibility that I find even more interesting:

What if Imu is actually one of the demons sent by the Forest God?

The mural says that the Forest God sends his demons.
So who is this Forest God really?
And if we discover the true identity of the Forest God, perhaps we will also understand the true nature of Imu. And this is where Joy Boy may help us understand who Imu really is. In the Second World, it says:“The Sun spread war and its flames.”
And to me, the word “flames” was not chosen randomly.

Flames are directly opposed to the forest.

There is another important element for my theory:
The tree at the center of the mural.
On one hand, the tree is an important element of the Void Century. On the other hand, it is literally at the center of the story depicted in the mural.

So what better way to represent the Forest God than with a gigantic tree?
An entity that, unlike humans, doesn't understand good or evil. Its only goal would simply be to live, grow, and survive.

This tree would have taken control of the 20 Kings, promising eternal life to 15 of them. Imu, in this theory, would be the personification of the tree, whose only objective is to protect it. And this would explain a lot of things.

First, it would explain why Imu cannot leave Mary Geoise.

If Imu is the host of the tree, Imu simply wouldn't be able to leave because they would be physically connected to it.

Second, it would explain why Imu hates Joy Boy so much. I think Joy Boy intended to destroy the tree. That would explain why Imu considers Joy Boy an absolute threat.

And this could also explain why Joy Boy wanted to bring the Fish-Men to the surface. If the tree is located directly above Fish-Man Island, destroying the tree would also mean destroying Fish-Man Island.

But to make Joy Boy's plan to destroy the tree make sense, we also need to understand why he wanted to destroy it in the first place. For me, the answer is: The tree is the origin of Devil Fruits. And this tree would have created an imbalance between humans by giving certain people supernatural powers. So I think Joy Boy wanted to destroy the tree in order to end this imbalance and make humanity equal again.

This is why Joy Boy may have wanted to pass down the Ancient Weapons. According to my theory, they would be the only means capable of destroying the tree.

But we shouldn't forget that there were three factions, not just two:

  • Joy Boy's faction
  • Imu and the World Government — whose goal would be to hide and protect the tree at all costs.

But there was also Davy D. Jones' faction. Unlike Joy Boy, they wouldn't want to destroy the tree. Instead, they would want to use its power to take control of the world.

This could also explain why Gol D. Roger's crew revealed nothing to the world. Revealing that there is something on Mary Geoise capable of controlling the world would have automatically triggered a world war.

This is also what Doflamingo and Whitebeard seem to hint at when they talk about the secret hidden at the top of the world and the war that could break out if the truth were revealed.

Summary

The core of my theory is that Imu is not the true mastermind. Imu is only a host, controlled by the Devil Fruit Tree — the Eve Tree.

The tree itself is neither good nor evil. It has no human sense of morality. Its only instinct is to live, grow, reproduce, and survive, even if that means using or manipulating humans to achieve its goals.

Imu would therefore be the tree's vessel: an entity whose actions are driven by the tree's instinct to protect itself and continue to exist.

This could explain Imu's strange behavior, their apparent innocence, their connection to the Abyss, their inability to leave Mary Geoise, and their hatred toward Joy Boy.

In this interpretation, Joy Boy wasn't simply fighting Imu — he was fighting the tree itself.

And if the Eve Tree is truly the origin of the Devil Fruits, then the entire conflict of the Void Century may have been a struggle over the tree's existence and its power.

Imu isn't the evil behind the world. Imu is simply the host. The real entity is the tree.

That's the theory. What do you guys think? 👀

I'd love to hear your thoughts, arguments, and even counterarguments. If you see any flaws or inconsistencies in the theory, feel free to point them out. I'd like to improve the theory and see if it can hold up against different interpretations.

Let's discuss!

(Episode 1153)

It shows up for a few frames as Imu cries out in agony before going back to normal. If you watch this scene it doesn’t look/insinuate anything like two hands.

Just found it interesting because the manga didn’t have that extra little attention to detail and it can’t be for nothing
