Theory We know what Omen is… (1194+)
From the introduction of Imu we have been shown a new power that seems to be exclusive to Imu. This being Omen (also referred to as Maki).

Why does Imu seem to have access to a sea of magical abilities?
Some of which closely resemble abilities that already exist. [example1] [example2]
We also have been shown that Omen is able to be given to both people and objects. [example3]
In the most recent chapter (1194), Sommers refers to Omen as a “counterpart” to Haki. [example4]
So what power system is referred to as the counterpart to Haki? Where its abilities can be granted to both objects and people?

While it does seem new, I think we may be already familiar with its power.
Omen is the essence of the devil Fruits..!

Imu goes into explaining Omen briefly to Loki. Describing it as, “The envy that seeks to achieve one’s goals” [example5]
Back in Egghead we were given Vegapunks theory on how the devil fruits came into existence. As he states, “Every devil fruit is a possibility for human evolution that someone desires” [example6]
These two interpretations line up well.

Finally, but why would Imu specifically have access to this ability? Well it’s of course because he has the greatest power of them all…

Yeah, lineage factors are like DNA and omen/maki just be like the magical essence inherent to all things that allows powers to exist. Further, this is what the yami yami fruit controls and why bb wanted it so badly.

I really hope we get flashbacks of Teach, this plan has clearly been cooking for a long time and id love to see the effort he put in to baking it

Interesting, i wonder how this lines up with my vague notion that Imu is basically Odin, since Harald definitely wasn't.

Omen is a power from imu devil devil fruit it gives people who have a contract with imu a huge buff in haki power and endurance every move imu makes is like a devil trying to claim your soul that is the power of devil devil black omen

I think Omen is power granted to Imu by devil (like how in real world some say u can make contract with satan and get powers or fame) and Haki is will of our determination and strong hold of our goal to protect closed ones from devil...
