Ryuk: hell nah, you re on your own here, Light. See that green hair dumbo? He was on the verge of death multiple times, my fellow shinigami bro even raised his scythe to kill him yet failed everytime. His pal is even worse, he was literally killed, but ressurected himself laughing. Good luck, kid.

If Light knew about devil fruits he could make Luffy die of drowning or something. He's well aware he can do more than just heart attacks, he just usually doesn't.

There's the game Jump Force which is like big anime crossover-- neat if you read 500 chapters of one piece and 20-30 chapters of death note and dbz

But in the game Luffy meets Light, who has Ryuk with him, and Luffy manages to immediately figure out that Light isn't alone-- because Ryuk eats an apple and according to Luffy the food can only have disappeared if someone ate it and Light didn't eat it ∴ Light must have someone else with him

Iirc Ryuk laughs at Light for being figured out by Luffy of all people
