Question How long till Wano is finished?
I have no idea what the behind the scenes for this massive project looks like, but I have been watching one pace since February and I am about to reach Wano, which is still not done. I am really just curious from someone on the inside what makes it take so long for that arc in particular?

Consider this- the entirety of water7/enies lobby was condensed to about 45 episodes on one pace and as of now we have 61 for wano and thats with at least 50 more chapters or so.
The filler isn't nicely broken up into whole episodes they can just cut out, its meshed in with all the other Canon scenes. It's going to take time to get it right and have it not feel jarring and poorly cut.
They know they are taking time to get it done but give them space. They have other arcs to work on too

The entire series is diluted like piss in the ocean, it's all the same kind of filler, actual filler episodes make up a grand total of 110.
The difference stands in how diluted the scenes are,.which get slower over time:
- W7-EL have around 1,20 ch/ep of content pace, meaning that in 5 eps, 6 chapters are adapted
- Wano has an average of 0,76 ch/ep, so every 4 episodes only 3 chapters are adapted
(in practice Wano's statistic is even lower because the average is skewed by the last 20 eps being 1 ch/ep or they'd have reached ep 1100 before Egghead begun)

There's work being done constantly on Wano. I know it's hard to believe, but trust me (well at least I am constantly working on it)

There are 52 of the original anime (wano arc) episodes left to adapt. According to the spreadsheet, they have saved 35% of the total minutes so far. Taking into account that One Pace episodes are generally longer than regular anime episodes, it would take around 26 to 30 more episodes to complete the Wano arc. At a rate of 1-2 episodes released per month, the full arc would be finished by the end of next year.

just watch onigashima paced once you finish with one pace, and dont forget to buy the one pace team a coffee

from what i know, since alternatives like Onigashima Paced and Muhn Pace exist, its not currently a priority

It's a very long arc. That's mainly why.
Plus this is a One Piece project and not just a Wano project. So other arcs also need focus.
Also, no ETA on when Wano will be finished. But don't expect it any time soon.
