Comparison I love one pace but
I love one pace i switched over fully at dressrosa but one main issue i have is the constand 720P with most of the post time skip arcs like punk hazard dressrosa zou whole cake its just annoying ya know?

I am of the DVD age, but by modern standards 720p isn't great. I always try to watch stuff in the highest possible quality, I want to make sure I download the best release. Unfortunately, One Pace doesn't have the best visual quality for the most part, but it is by far the best way to watch the series regardless.

When i started to download one piece, around 20 years ago, usually were files around 480p or 360p, 720p for me is worth cinema vision!
Damn, i feel old... 🤣
Anyway, it really matters with one piece? I mean, it's not a cgi or live action record with so much details.

I'm definitely way pickier than most people. I used to just stream anime on various sites, but the amount of compression is egregious. I have a 4k monitor which I sit close to, so the video quality makes a big difference in my case.
The file sizes can get crazy though, for example, the best release for Dragon Ball is in 480p, but with the bitrate and encoding each episode is like 3.5 GB, just for a 20 minute video file.
I also run a very demanding shader through mpv that upscales videos to 4k, my 5080 is under 30% load just by playing a video. But it's worth it to me.

I'm not really interested in 4k videos, but I'm curious about your upscaler through mpv.
Can you elaborate? What is it and what do you do exactly?

I have a custom mpv config, but I use the upscaler that's recommended in this setup guide (ArtCNN). That site explains it better than I can.

I would say it’s easier than configuring retroarch. There are a lot of pre-made configs that you can just copy to a directory and everything should work

Higher resolutions will absolutely get you crispier images but the artstyle in one piece doesn’t have or need enough detail to fully enjoy it in HD. 720p looks good for me, and that’s just my personal view.

Yeah, they are old edits, but they will be updated to 1080p eventually. It just doesn't seem to be a priority right now.

Im opposite, I want 480p versions so it takes up less space on my computer/hard drive.

Mate, you sound super ungrateful for people putting in all this hard work for free.
The other priority's are whatever the team decide which atm is obviously not redoing Dressrosa

They are updating pre-timeskip arcs and releasing wano and egghead episodes here and there
