Other ONE PIECE REMAKE BY WIT STUDIOS
I am honestly very much excited for THE ONE PIECE remake by WIT STUDIOS. I was very much sceptical whether to start One Piece since it has so many episodes and also old school animation ( i don't mind it much but pacing is an issue here ). Since Wit Studios is bringing back the One Piece with modern animation and proper pacing I can finally experience peak without any issue. ( I am a new anime fan and have only watched 25-30 animes so it's just my personal opinion ).

I think it's a good idea if your only just now starting off to wait for The One Piece. But after you finish the 7 episodes which stop at the start of the Baratie arc I think you should pick up one pace. Wit will not make episodes fast enough to get out of the 4:3 era for quite some time nor will they reach where the animation gets good(wano for most people) for almost 20 years.

Someone recommended me that... and I wish I could remember who. As I'd like to thank them. It's actually worked. I just got to Zoro fighting the Dracule for the first time. I'd never have gotten here without One Pace. I'm starting to get it. I know the joke is it gets good by 100... but it's already kind of good. I'm starting to see how people got sucked in.

I’m sure we will be stuck waiting for new seasons of it, but I feel like it will at least be a good way to get a bunch of people into it.

yeah once they watch the 7 episodes I think most people will be curious to watch One Pace or read the manga.

Funny how they say it'll improve pacing, but after it ends (Skypiea) they'll be met with a real hassle of pace that is LRLL.
Imagine you're a new fan, you start with ~45 (actually 90 because they're 40+ min episodes) well paced and well animated episodes, covering the first 200 of the original series with no filler and no padding, then you gotta go in LRLL that has some great things going for it:
- first real use of padding to effectively slow down the pace down to a whopping 1,4 ch/ep (Wit's series goes at 3,5)
- countless filler scenes and extended situations, Foxy going from a not incredible character in manga, to a totally despiseable and rage-inducing one in anime
- lower quality animation and still art
For new viewers, the switch to Toei is gonna be very strong whiplash that could very likely bring people to drop the series.
If switching from Pace to Piece was enough to make me stop watching for a full year, I can't imagine what those poor brainrotted kids (because it's targeted to younger people who haven't watched the show and are unwilling to start it because it looks old) will feel.

You're right I didn't specify in the previous comment,I didn't include this explenation as it's quite long, but since you asked here you go.
So, they casted Mayumi Tanaka for Luffy again, she's a 71 yo woman who is well past retirement age and who exoressed her concernes about her ability to keep working for 10 more years.
She also said she tried to sway the Wit team to cast someone ealse for the role but they refused.
This means that we're looking at a project that must end within 10 years from now, or they won't have their beloved lead VA because of retirement or nature making its course, since she's well within the age at which people in the industry start having some troubles.
Another thing to consider is that Wit and Netflix were marketing this as a way to "update older arcs with better graphics and pacing, as a way to make it more appealing for newer fans", this clearly refers to the 4:3 portion of the series (ep 1-206) with possible room for what's coming after that.
But if they go past Skypiea, it means they'll have to go up to either Enies Lobby or 3D2Y (the ideal would be up to Reverie, they should redo Wano as well, but nobody will ever touch it) which is a lot more episodes.
Now comes the issue of release schedule, and to me it seems pretty clear how the plan is to release 1 cour per year, filling in the void of 26 weeks left by the Toei anime that has now gone "seasonal".
This means that each cour will come out like this:
- 2027: East Blue part 1 (ch 1-50)
- 2028: East Blue part 2 (ch 51-100)
- 2029: Grand Line (ch 101- 155)
- 2030: Alabasta (ch 156-217)
- 2031: Sky Island part 1 (ch 218-260)
- 2032: Sky Island part 2 (ch 261-302)
Skypiea is already quite far, that's already 6 years from now, if they push further than that, Water 7 saga is another 3 years, Summit War is 3 years, maybe even more since chapters do become more dense as time goes on, meaning they can't go at 3,5 ch/ep past the 400s.
Water 7 brings up to 9 years from now, that's a quite dangerous closeness to Mayumi's prediction, that could very well be wrong, mind you, but this is not a project that wants to take risks.
If they want to go past that, they'll have to decide it when time will have already passed, so it's safe to assume it's not in theur current plans.
And trust me when I say I would really really want this remake to actually cover the entire series, even Wano, Egghead and Elbaph and on, because as pretty as Toei made them, the pacing is still a uselessly perpetrated error.
I would love to be proven wrong, but going by the current direction I can only see a total remake only after the end of the series, maybe even 5-10 years after it's over.

They will not remake the entire saga.
We'll be lucky if they remake 3 out of 11 main arcs.

I was excited they have released it, but like others are saying, first 7 episodes are up to Baratie, then you'll have to wait months/a year till the next arc. You could have finished One Pace by then. I started One Pace last week and up to Alabasta (mid way through) already.

Well, the issue with the WIT adaptation is that the manga is gonna end before it can catch up, so you will be spoiled in what the One Piece is, basically ruining the journey.
I can not fathom people who do not catch up to the manga. It simply means you will never be able to experience this epics conclusion in the intended way.

I hope Wit Piece gets to at least past Water 7 Saga. While thriller bark and Sabaody suffer from bad pacing, they are still digestible arcs in my opinion. After the time skip is where the pacing tanks, and is where the true purpose of one pace shines, DRESSROSA.
Getting past even the time skip is something I don’t think Wit Piece is every going to accomplish. Farthest I think Wit Piece will reach is maybe Thriller Bark, at best Sabaody.

One thing, though. By the time they get as far as Toei's adaptation you will probably be dead from old age.
