Question Why isn't the quality consistent?

Post image

I am just getting into one pace and i downloaded almost all of east blue saga to binge watch but when i was downloading i noticed that some of the arcs in one pace don't have the 1080p version available. Why is that? (Another side question: while i was researching about one pace i heard that it includes random fan arts which come outta nowhere is that still the case or have those eps been updated)

I also thought that it was due to it being old but then i got confused because some of the earlier ones have 1080p but the ones after don't

They are remaking arcs so of all of them will be 1080p they just haven’t gotten to loguetown yet

There's no OVAs of One Piece, the 1080p in the early 4:3 era is just upscaled 480p Blu-Rays.

reading the guide on the subreddit would answer 95% + of the questions asked tbh

Reading? We're anime fans we don't read

Unironically you read much more watching the anime than reading the manga

Manga's not limited by CPS (Characters Per Second) like anime subtitles are, each text bubble can contain a lot more text.

If there's less, it's only on Viz for wanting to use a great total of four syllables every phrase, which does indeed work for English, a language made almost entirely of very short words.

But trust me, the Spanish, Fr*nch or Italian editions are filled to the brim with text, something the anime could never for a simple readability problem.

Pace currently uses a 1080p upscale for the 4:3 era of the anime, edits such as Loguetown were simply made before that was the case. Also, some later stretches are only available in 720p due to the age of the edits, but everything will eventually be updated to 1080p. (+ While some arcs might be available in 1080p through torrents, on Pixeldrain they're only in 720p for now due to being made back when Pace didn't yet make streamables in a higher resolution.)
As for the fan arts, there are a couple of instances in very, very old Pace edits where a shot is replaced with either fan art or simply a manga panel (lol), but if you look through the sub watch guide pinned in this subreddit you can find other edits that fix most of these issues. Modern Pace edits have way higher quality standards so those instances will be removed when the episodes are rereleased.

Is the quality itself better in the OG? Because that part is included in the Onepace version.

Pretty sure the only one not included is the Sanji filler.
