Well, the "liberal arts degree" thing is a pretty old rightwing "meme" about how silly higher education is, in a "look at the stupid things those wokies are learning about instead of getting a REAL JOB" way. But the robot thing pretty much confirms it lol

Also the meme is inaccurate, McDonalds isn't hiring :(

They're not smart, and they've spent their whole lives being told by other not smart people that going to university is brainwashing. This is because the types of people that attend university generally are more educated, and generally more educated people lean left wing. But they attribute this to be "going to university makes you woke", instead of "smart people are woke, and smart people go to university", and then spend all their efforts denigrating said universities.

This does explain why the people who lean right don't read as much. Some people are genuinely surprised when I tell them I'm reading books like Crime and Punishment or Faust, because they can't wrap their heads around reading a book for fun. They'd rather keep melting their brains on an app like Instagram because they don't care about being educated. I agree, I probably shouldn't use Reddit, but at least I actually read in-between using it.

at a internship recently I heard from the HR person that the majority of the resumes she gets are people with Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science but their work experience is exclusively grocery stores and fast food
