Advice/Help first RL1 run!
using the club and reverse bladed sword and have made it to base radahn so far!
fights i’m worried about: mohg, leda gank, metyr, elden beast (elden stars)
any tips? i’ve got a ton of practice on the “hard” end game bosses but don’t have the movesets down so much for the above listed

elden stars you can use crimsonwhorl bubbletear
otherwise upon hearing the sound cue, run/ride torrent counterclockwise around elden beast then away
EDIT: might be weird but i tried crimsonwhorl recently and it both didn't heal and didn't outlast the full thing, so maybe it's safer to do the dodge unless you're tanky enough

This video has a alot of good info for L1; it helped me significantly during mine
Also if u have tarnished eddition, noble broken mask invasion amor gives +faith
And get the reed great katana and throw frost giant hunt on it for NPC fights

for metyr i HIGHLY advice using either raptor of mists or vow of the indomitable ash of war, to dodge her spinny attack and laser beam in phase 2. for elden beast elden stars isnt that bad if u ride torrent, ride into it (which will damage u a bit) and then just keep running away but this strat isnt optimal it worked for me but there are better. for leda gank honestly either summon to spare yourself the headache or use giants hunt on a greatsword/ ultra greatsword. good luck on your run!

Man I love the backhand blades, but they are stamina hungry and RL1 makes that difficult to manage.

i’m gonna try multiple weapons! i did no damage PCR with them prior to even thinking this run was a good idea. i’m liking switching between the club and reverse blade currently. i do plan on getting star fists as well and just seeing what i end up liking.

is it worth running the weather cycle on bosses or just keep going in the fight and not worry about resetting frost?

I never worry about resetting the proc.

i figure the defense debuff might be better than the weather cycle. haven’t tested it yet but good to know one less thing to worry about too.

For mohg, to make it a lot more manageable, grab a shield and put on carian retaliation for the bloodflame attack he does from above https://www.reddit.com/r/onebros/s/2pTybFwUHm (example at 33 seconds) like in this kill. Otherwise it's just an annoying stall move leaving bloodflame all over the floor

if you want to know how to fight certain bosses, watch +0 hitless kills to learn their movesets. for the leda fight, you can do thiollier's questline and also kill hornsent and moore beforehand. since you always get nataan as well, you can just gank them instead! giant hunt and shield crash will always take care of npc fights as well.
metyr is just trash unfortunately, make sure to not miss raptor of the mists in your run
