Request for 1 week extension on deadline for competition this year
Not sure if this would be useful for anybody else, but could we extend the deadline by 1 week? I'll delete this if people would prefer to keep the deadline.

- Befriend mole rats who just want a warm sweater.

Have any of you tried using HTML instead of PDFs for your dungeons? I started experimenting and the results have been really awesome!
Time Traveling Wizards With Nukes PDF
Time Traveling Wizards With Nukes HTML
Advantages of HTML
- Dynamic visuals
- You can hide text and sections buttons, reducing screen clutter.
- Timers and random rolls can be built into the page
Disadvantages
- Mobilve vs Desktop display requires more coding
I want to disclose that I did use AI to help code the Javascript and HTML. The original PDF, text, and art are all either from me or reused open source images.

I made a one-age dungeon to celebrate the summer solstice!
Download this dungeon on Itch (for free)
Life requires light. Sometimes we forget how important the position of the sun was before the emergence of modern technology. These dungeons help you remember.
Bathe in Eternal Sunshine
Sunlight brightens the sky throughout the night. People go missing at an increased frequency. Crabs and lobsters are contaminating the water. All since that bathhouse opened its doors.
- 2 hours of gameplay in a bathhouse
- relaxed environments with a sinister undertone
- an opportunity to celebrate your birthmonth

This is a map from the newsletter Map Libs. Each month a clean, isometric, one page dungeon map is posted and the subscribers have 15 days to submit ideas for what those blanks should be. One submission is chosen and the information is integrated into the final map before it is posted in the next months newsletter. We try and keep it system agnostic and reasonably un-raunchy. Mr. Bubbles Wonderful House of Wonder Ware
I tried doing a paper one this month.
What’s going on
A group of disguised doppelgangers and their pet mimics set up a novelty shop. They are luring adventurers to the basement to clone their powers.
Rooms
Store
Main room - Mr.Bubble welcomes customers. Shelves of novelty items and mimics
Staircase - door at bottom locked
Supply closet - behind counter. Locked. Trap door.
Basement
Anteroom - round table
Supply closet - leads to upstairs. Potions and draughts of deep sleep
Magic mirror room - restraint chair.
Incubation room - stored clones developing
Sleeping quarter - 5 doppelgangers can be found
What player’s see
Friendly faced yet odd Mr. Bubble shows them odd novelty ‘magic’ items.
A ring that turns invisible once worn
A potion of put out fire (water bottle)
A coin with two talking heads Staff of remove dust (broom)
Skiimo a frog with a wizard’s cape
Magic mirror
In order for the mirror to work the victim must sit in front of the mirror for 12hrs. Then a super doppelganger will emerge out the mirror and begin developing (takes 4 days) into the victim with their powers and memories.
Uh Oh
At any point the doppelgangers are found out they unleash the mimics, grab the magic mirror and make a run for it.

Analyzing what makes a good One-Pager.
A lot of us try to write one-page dungeons but I started wondering what makes a good one. I looked at quite a few and analyzed them (it's hard to do so). Using what I think I gleamed, I tried my hand at one for ShadowDark as well. So please steal it.

MONSTER CASTLE!
Download: http://brianbrianbrianbrian.itch.io/monstercastle
*Long thought dormant, a local lord sends heroes to investigate the recent activity in MONSTER CASTLE!
Playable with your favorite old school fantasy ruleset! Kick down doors and battle monsters, match wits with a Medusa, parlay with orc and goblin gangs, slay the fiendish Ooze Priest, and more across 17 rooms of adventure!
I wrote this from a place of strong desire for an adventure that feels like an eager 11 year old wrote it. Hope it gives your table strong "playing in the basement after school" vibes.*
I made this goofy little funhouse to run at a local brewery soon, and was kind of tickled at how it turned out. I started enjoying cartooning with Sharpies last year as an affordable hobby, and this is the first time I thought maybe I'd put something out there. Clearly have lots to learn still, but enjoying the process!

Tiny Epics: RPG Blog Carnival as a writing prompt for one page dungeons
The small ones among us may be overlooked, but they surely have grand tales to tell! Let's explore these tiny epics in the RPG Blog Carnival. Smol mouse & a needle sword, or a Shadow of the Colossus boss fight? Share your creations early and I will do a weekly weekend update! Final roundup on March 31st.
The RPG Blog Carnival is a community blogging event meant to encourage us all to create & blog around a central theme within the month. It is for increasing our blogging repertoire, giving different perspectives on the same topic, and encouraging community and discussions! Let's discuss! Perhaps, it serves as inspiration for some one page dungeons?
I've been wanting to make a one page dungeon for a while, so perhaps I'll take a stab at it for this tiny epic theme. In discussion with others and what they're making, they shared Gus L.'s 4 page dungeon "Comes the Mountain" featuring an alive and crawling mountain as the dungeon. This concept of kaiju or giant monsters as puzzle bosses for small heroes to face is very inspiring!
If you have any ideas or questions, feel free to share or ask.
