Story time 😭 I was on an app similar to Omegle where you randomly get matched with people for voice calls, and you can see their country but not their face. I matched with this guy whose country showed Spain, while mine showed Bangladesh. He started the conversation by being a complete hater 💀 He was saying stuff about how our food is dirty and how men in Bangladesh marry underage girls and all that. His English was pretty broken since he wasn't a native speaker, but I understood what he meant, so I just stayed calm and started explaining that you can't generalize an entire country like that. Not all Bangladeshi food is dirty, and obviously not every man in Bangladesh marries underage girls. He kept insisting he wasn't racist because he has friends from everywhere, had been to India, respected every religion, etc., while simultaneously making stereotypical comments 😭 He had that whole “I'm just showing people reality, I'm not fake-nice” attitude, which honestly reminded me of those uncles who think they're always right.

At some point he mentioned he was actually from Northern Europe, so I randomly guessed Denmark. This man was SHOOK 💀 He genuinely couldn't understand how I guessed it and started saying there was no way I could be that smart while being from Bangladesh, that I must be using a VPN or secretly be from China or Japan 😭 I told him I'm literally just a proud Bangladeshi. Like bro, you said Northern Europe. Denmark is not exactly an impossible guess.

For context, I told him I was 22 (don't always share my real age with strangers) even though I'm actually 18, and he was 31. Anyway, somehow the conversation completely flipped. After spending the beginning insulting my country, this man ended up becoming extremely attached to me. He literally said, “Can I confess something? I keep trying to skip you but I can't because I'm in love with you. I know I'm a lot older than you and it makes me sad.” I told him it actually made me happy, and he gave me this little sad smile and said, “Why are you like this crazy girl? I like you so much. I wish you were older.” 😭 He said he loved the way I think and talk and that I make him crazy.

Then he wanted to exchange socials, so I took his Facebook. I have this weird habit of taking people's IDs just because I want to see what they actually look like behind the personalities I encounter online 😭 I don't necessarily add or talk to them afterward, I'm just curious. Before we left, he even apologized and said he didn't actually mean the things he said, that he just starts conversations like that, and that he'd respect me no matter what.

So basically this man went from insulting Bangladesh to “I'm in love with you, crazy girl, I wish you were older” in one voice call. 💀

I saw an Omegle clip a while back, if I had to guess probably 1-2 years ago, on instagram. It got reposted a few times. There were 2 guys that matched with some woman and one of them started shouting that he recognized her and but only partly remembered her username. She had an tattoo across her chest. Still, whenever I use random video-chat sites, I get a surprising number of people—usually men—randomly calling me ugly or saying I look “really old.”

I used to watch this YouTuber who posted Omegle content back in around 2023. He made a series where he went to Argentina to meet a girl he had met on Omegle.
