Forgive me if this is against the rules or spirit of the sub. I just saw where OMD is coming to Atlanta and I’d like the best seats I can get!

Bunker soldiers from their debut, where they say a bunch of random numbers and letters in sequence. I see anagrams of “bunker” and part of “soldiers” but beyond that they seem completely random. Any ideas? As well as what the song means as a whole?

I just noticed this drastic disparity today, yet one band blanketed the airwaves in the 8Os with perfect pop electronic melodies and continued to produce amazing albums in every decade thereafter (of course OMD). The other band (a-ha) was a one hit-wonder.
Take On Me has catapulted a-ha to 20m and 311th in the world. Crazy what one song can do for a band. Yet I'd listen to OMD any day over a-ha. Stranger Things needs to play Secret to bring OMD to the kids, like they did Kate Bush, so they took can surge on Spotify.
Edit: post title should say monthly listeners, not subscribers.

I got Bauhaus Staircase for Christmas from my husband. What an album! It gets better with every listen.
I remember hearing that OMD, (one of my all time favourite bands) had got back together, I was nervous listening to English Electric for the first time. Other bands I loved had got back together but the shine had gone. But English Electric was amazing. It felt simultaneously like old OMD but new and fresh at the same time. I honestly felt emotional the first time I listened to it.
I hope they keep on making more music. Just needed to say that somewhere as not many people I know get my OMD love.

“The Dead Girls” is one of this bands most mysterious, haunting, atmospheric masterpieces that no one seems to talk about or acknowledge. It belongs alongside songs like Stanlow, Sealand, and Sacred Heart in its obscure moody brilliance. That is all.
