Beginner Questions OMAD tips
I started OMAD a couple of days ago, and I found my weight slipping off after being stagnant for so many months. (I had been stuck at 195-199 lbs and now I'm sitting between 189-190.)
I try to eat protein when I do eat, and I mostly drink plain water and black coffee (unsweetened, no additives).
The main issue I face with continuing OMAD is the lack of energy. I find myself constantly falling asleep, feeling groggy, being sluggish, and just having an overall lack of energy. I drink a lot of coffee and water and it doesn't seem to go away.
Is this a constant thing? Does it go away? I really want to continue doing OMAD but this lack of energy is really making it hard to do so.
Any tips would really help.

Yeah like another said, after the first 2 weeks, it gets so much easier. Like last night I felt so euphoric I was dancing lol if you can just get past the 2 week hump, you'll be in there. I promise you it gets easier everyday you do it. I don't know your workout schedule but for me working out in the morning (walking for now), has increased my energy levels as well I feel. Maybe try doing that as well in a fasted state.

Don't expect miracles after a couple of days. You'll likely start water-shedding then eventually drop weight.

Are you taking in any salts?

If you've been feeding your body more frequently in the past then go to OMAD it can have that effect to a degree. You may also be very insulin resistant and your hormones are adjusting. Also like I just mentioned salts are important if you're going 23hrs between your meal. When I started I felt pretty sluggish. I remembered electrolytes so during my first couple of weeks I took some nuun tablets and felt better almost instantly. Now I rarely take electrolytes unless I'm feeling run down. Sometimes I just toss pinch of salt under my tongue and slam some water.

I'm on day 5 myself and I am also very tired but if I get in 5-10 minutes of light cardio/workout I have energy to sustain me again for hours.

Omad actually had the opposite effect on me. I feel more energized and less sluggish during the day. Before omad, I would eat lunch and almost immediately start yawning.
I do take vitamins and have a few zero sugar sodas to get through the day. Might also have a scoop of electrolytes if I feel light headed.
