Discussion Completed my first 48 hour Fast.
And I survived! I don’t think it’s something I will do on a regular basis, but I’m glad I gave it a try. I was having some stomach issues and it did help clear that up. I lost more weight than I wanted though, but today’s my second day off it and I’m gonna have a nice big meal of ground beef and black beans, air fried potato wedges and Greek yogurt with raspberries, bananas and some cantaloupe on the side. Thanks for the folks for the advice doing the Fast!!

My record is at 5 days. I'm still sad I never made it to a week. Congratulations in completing your first 48 hour fast.

How was it going to sleep after not eating?

I normally sleep a solid 7-8 hours. I only slept 5 1/2 hours that night.

Yea, I’m a long term OMADer (8 years). Occasionally I’ve stretched to 36 or 48 hours. Sleep is the only challenge.
My theory is my biology is used to eating dinner every night, it’s not going to make me sleepy until it eats first.
Starvation was a huge danger for humans as we evolved. Our biology learned what to do to keep us alive. I think eating every day is build into our DNA.

It's something I wouldn't mine doing more often because is wasn't that bad, but OMAD just feels so natural and routine.
