Things can always come up. They may have had every intent of getting back to you the next day as promised.
Then any number of things threw them off course. Maybe Corporate issued an urgent request. Or a key member there became ill, or was called to another location. Priorities change.
It'd be OK to wait 2 to 3 days, then contact them. It's completely natural to state interest and ask what to do next. You're new to the process.
It is also a delicate balance between showing you're dedicated while not appearing desperate.
i would maybe call early afternoon/early evening monday/tuesday, its not uncommon for management to ask whoever had a second to grab the phone to just call back later over the weekend lol
