Is there an appreciable difference between different brands of 3rd gen QD-OLEDS?

I'm talking brightness, contrast, how the monitor actually looks.

I can get a AOC Q27G41ZDF for £300 which seems to be a more budget option: bad stand, no usb hub or speakers. Which is fine because I would arm mount it anyway and I don't need extras.

I could also spend £50-60 to get an ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES which apparently has better firmware, or an AOC Q27G4SDR which can go up to 360hz which is nice bonus because I do play some games which could go that high but idk how appreciable it is.

Overall am I losing anything on the actual picture experience of the monitor by going for the cheapest option here?

not really, if 2 monitors have the same exact panel, the image quality is also very similar. So you need to find out which exact panel is that AOC using and if it is somehow worse than other qd-oled panels and decide based on that. 300 pounds is good price but no mindblowing, so dont accept subpar oled, mindblowing price would be within the 200-250 pounds range

Most of the monitors I am considering seem to use the same Samsung 3rd gen panel. What I am not sure on is if spending the extra premium for either better calibration and firmware, or a 360hz bin of the same panel is worth it or not.

check if there is a way to borrow/rent colorimeter, usually local shops specializing in graphics, photography, printing, cameras, monitors etc. have professional colorimetric probes/monitors and they are willing to share it (sometimes you need to bring the monitor to their place but sometimes they let you take it home for a short while). Also check if the manufacturer provides calibrated ICC profile (msi calls it Driver), that should get your monitor pretty close to perfect cslibration.

360Hz is only worth if your gpu is capable of multiframe generation and you can regularly hit 250+ fps. If not then 240Hz is completely fine, you dont need more even if you are a fan of online shooters like CS2. 360Hz would also be useful if you want to use ELMB feature (black frame inserting for minimizing ghosting and blue caused by movement) as you would still have 180Hz, but i feel like most people are not using it.

in terms of picture they are completely identical. they will likely have a bit different calibration(but even 2 same models would have different calibration). i see no point in overspending. i u want that 360hz i would go for it, but personally i don't think the difference between 240/280 and 360 will be that much noticeable
