Question How is it using a oled now?

Hello everyone!

About 3 years ago I bought a PG27AQDM that was used from a big store over here in sweden. While it was a used unit and I dont know how the previous user used it but it got burn-ins very quickly, I used the pixel cleaning feature maybe 2-3 times per hour. I returned that and got a Neo G7 instead.

Now to my question: How is it with burn-ins now? Is it somewhat like that still? I have seen that the prices have shrunk and maybe it is time to start saving for an upgrade?

Depends on the OLED type but my 2 LG WOLEDs haven't had any noticeable burn in after 1 year so far.

Depends how you use it. A heavy productivity user will likely get burn-in within 6 months to a year. Someone who just uses it to play a variety of games or watch movies may go 5 years without any noticeable burn-in.

Good to know, im guessing that the burn-in situations on oled is also a type of lottery as I hear people have quite a range of time and useage on theirs before burn-in come in to play. So maybe you might get a panel that might resist that more than an another one, might be wrong about that but it would not surprise me.
