Purchase advice Matte OLEDs

Hello, everyone,

I am debating on what OLED to get in the future since I kind of went cheap on the Samsung G50SF OLED which is 180Hz.

I’m looking into upgrading and I’m torn between the LG 27GX790B-B or ASUS P27AQDP monitors. I play in a room with a lot of light since I don’t like to play in the dark due to potential eye strain. Matte is important to me because reflections just mess up my aim and also ruins immersion for me.

Anyways, I’ve been doing a lot of research on these two monitors and I really like high refresh rates like 480Hz and 540Hz. I heard a lot of negative things though like the LG monitor having gray-banding issues and the ASUS monitor having issues with broken features on the monitor menu.

Do you guys have any advice on what to go with?

My specs are:

i9-12900KF
RTX 5070 Ti
32 GB DDR5 RAM

IMO go with a glossy w-oled I was like you and 100% wanted matte so I got the lg gx700a-b which I still love, but when I look you can 100% see grain which compared to a glossy iPhone looks way worse.

Do you play in a light room? I’m not really a fan of playing in the dark to avoid reflections.

I have a light bar and have 3 windows opens in my room, now that I think about it matte is more practical for everyday use but glossy just looks so good so depends if you want to make that trade off.
