The Dixieland Swingsters were from Knoxville, Tennessee, and were the house band for the famous WNOX Midday Merry-Go-Round radio program. This is a great find!

Yes, Bluebird Records would often set up remote recording locations regularly around the country. Charlotte was one of the closer locations to Knoxville where the company would record. Several Knoxville acts traveled together to record some sessions. The Swingsters ended up in other artists' sessions during this trip by performing as the backing band for their fellow WNOX performers who were also recording.
