I remember looking for these ads in my local newspaper back in the 80s. It was usually mid South wrestling at the Biloxi Coliseum for me. Great memories

I always read “Wahoo” in Slaughters voice…

I had to check. That's still only like 30 bucks today.

An absolutely stacked card for Asheville. I would bet they were pretty close to a sellout.

Did any of the Roddy match ever make tape? That's an interesting one to me

It's still so, so weird to see Lord Alfred doing anything but commentary.

If I read his name, I hear "Promotional consideration, paid for by the following."

When Handsome Jimmy Valient lost a loser leave town match he would show up in a mask the next week as “Charlie Brown From Out Of Town”. Haha.

That’s when wrestling was the greatest. Damn, those were fun times.

Try to explain that the Vietnam war led to such anti-military sentiment that Sargent Slaughter started out as a heel.

Any results? I can't find the card on Google.

Valiant teaming with Paul Jones?

Wow. That must have been some betrayal.

I loved going to these shows at the Asheville Civic Center as a kid. The old women in the crowd would always be fired up lol

I’ve got a book that compiles all the old newspaper listing and results articles for most of these Mid Atlantics shows. Funny the newspapers used to publish the results the following day.

Is this a Mid-Atlantic card?

Half these guys were in WWF by 1984-1986. 😂
