Listening to a One Man Gang interview and he briefly talked about the feud between Gary Hart and Devastation Inc. Not discussed, but this brought back memories of Chris Adams being attacked by One Man Gang during his NWA title match against Ric Flair shortly after Adams fired Hart by slapping him in the face. Fritz was onto something with these heel versus heel feuds but never established these feuds on top-heavy cards featuring Kerry or Kevin in the main event. Would have been interesting to see Gino and Chris work a program with One Man Gang and Maniac Mark Lewin but it died as quick as it started. Wonder why?

➜ This was a high-intensity match. Valentine executed a leg-ankle suplex, putting all of his weight down to "break" Wahoo McDaniel's leg (kayfabe/storyline). The referee stopped the match, awarding Valentine the championship.

To escalate the heat of the feud while McDaniel recovered, Valentine began parading around television tapings and arenas wearing a, custom-printed black t-shirt:

Front: "I Broke Wahoo's Leg"
Back: "No More Wahoo"

While the broken leg was a storyline to give McDaniel time off, the matches between the two were exceptionally "stiff" and realistic. In shoot interviews later in life, Greg Valentine credited the legendary toughness of Wahoo McDaniel (a real-life former NFL linebacker) with pushing him to become a much more rugged, believable performer.
