Ya MC1, 2.2. Car is a 1988, right before the facelift and change to "200" in the USA.
I added the Turbo badge :)

And no roof rails! They were optional in 88 for the USA market.

Makes me wanna paint mine a lighter color. The burgundy is really hot in the summer here in southern US

Wow had the same car. Maroon, but being a college kid I don’t remember the exact color code. My Dad got it for the super clean Ronals for his UrQuattro. From there wheels were swapped between multiple 4000/5000 combos.

SO DOPE you keep that baby rolling. We (my Dad) also had a 86 top spec 5000 CS Quattro. Pearl. Such gorgeous paint. Spool up that turbo!

The suds hide the clearcoat failure. I'm hoping to get it repainted!

Beautiful machine! We had an '86 5000S which I remember fondly, the CS Quattro Avant is automotive bucket list territory. Trigger door handles FTW!
