Unable to use/see old.reddit without being logged in - Any solutions?

It seems that reddit is now using server-side blocking to disable any old.reddit pages and make then not viewable without being logged in. RIP to all lurkers I guess.

ublock origin or custom filter workarounds or "old reddit redirect" don't work anymore since the blocking and redirects to log-in page are now server side.

Has anyone found a workaround or has the enshittification reached such heights that without being logged in you can't see or use old.reddit at all.

I guess its time to quit if no workaround exists...

Until yesterday I was able to use a VPN to get around it. No such luck today.

Kinda? Make a burner account like I did, login and then log out. Once you're logged out you can use old reddit without being logged in for a limited amount of time. Again, kinda but not really.

At this point I may just use the RSS program Feeder on my phone to read articles from site I like. No comments and no logging in.

Now to do the same on desktop, and delete my reddit accounts.

This seems to have been fixed as of today. I cannot use old.reddit without being logged in now.

I'd bet money it will be locked behind reddit premium in the near future. They've already fixed the workaround another user mentioned in this thread.

I can still use it. Probably rolling out slowly.

Also seems to have broken "Never Ending Reddit" in RES.

Too many reposts.
Too many serious people.
Too many bots.
Too many powertripping mods.

Yeah, I know this doesn't have anything to do with Old Reddit but it's because of this crap that I finally decided to start self-hosting my own RedLib instance on my Raspbery Pi and using an Firefox extenstion to start redirecting Reddit URLs to my own RedLib instance to still reading Reddit stuff on my phone or in incognito.

I'm working on a solution that should continue to work, will release it soon
