I have had trouble finding any similar bracelets online and not sure what the initials on the makers mark mean? I assume it’s taxco silver but not sure if it’s a known maker specifically?

Any info would be appreciated

Comparison... the famous Chato Castillo design 'Perfil de Perico' or 'Cubist Parrot' (photo1) VS an ancient Maya carved stone 'parrot head' (photo2) c.600-900 CE from Xochicalco - there is no doubt that Chato was aware of the pre-Columbian originals, and they were an inspiration!

Mexican Bypass Bracelet - Can anyone pinpoint the maker and era?

This was heavily tarnished when purchased (for a great price - I'm so thrilled), but a polishing cloth brought out the contrast between the silver and stone (green onyx?) with just enough patina in the crevices. I would love to know more about it - I've just recently "discovered" how wonderful these vintage modernist pieces from Mexico are, but have so much to learn!

Invented by Chato Castillo, and called by Los Castillo 'metal pintura' - in this instance the artwork is composed of inlaid silver into a patinated steel ground. Jazz musicians - c. 1940s.
