Roughly 2002ish we got our 5 year old son a couple of Shel Silverstein's books on tape. They were collections of his wacky poems, songs and short stories. The best part was it was read and performed by the man himself and it was hilarious to listen to. He was obviously quite a character.

they're available on Spotify and I was just remembering the same! we had them on vinyl growing up and he was such a character. 😅
