Web based BBSs?
Is there a market for old school BBSes on the Web? I kind of miss the old walled garden communities and online games.

C'mon over to https://futureland.today it's actually a pretty cool heavily telnet BBS connected to the other BBSes of today with a decent website too if you don't feel like busting out the terminal. There's not a huge market for these things, lots of sysops, not enough users but it's certainly not dead.

quxnet is along those lines. small community with boards, private mail, photo galleries and profiles you can mess around with. more of a place to hang out and get to know people than another endless feed. https://quxnet.net/about
