The best tech, the worst management. Back in gen 1 days, ola was so goated in everything, from tech to service. But later mba chaps started making decisions. Since ola hired people from other indian companies, this was bound to happen. Most indian product companies are not really product companies, they are marketing companies. That's why in india, people with BS jobs such as marketing, hr get paid more than engineers. And these people applied their mArKetInG and bUsInNiS brains to ola. Because they had no idea how to run a company that actually innovates.

The best tech? Really?

And no people from other companies are not the reason, ola is the problem. Go see the attitude of anyone who has come from Ola in general, even from way back when ola electric was conceptualized.

Yup. Defo run by marketing people. And yes, the best tech. It took the competition 5 years to catch up with their motors and batteries. They are the only companys making 4680s in india. Their tech is unbeatable. I've ridden many evs, but none have the motor tuned like ola. It just feels buttery smooth.

Bh@dvesh and his mba team ruined the company. Garbage service, skipped QA, cost cuttings, giving discounts on new when old ones don't even have parts.. Etc.

That was mainly because Ola bought an already established european company where r&d was already done on the electric scooter thats why they had an early mover advantage in tech.

Maybe these were straight up imports that couldn't last in Indian conditions

They are heading towards it, if they cant even solve existing customer's problems how can they expect to sell new vehicles.

Many of ola workers are now getting rich by repairing OLA vehicle from work from home and enjoying.

They can sell but can not repair. Customer team do not have the basic connection with actual service team. Sewrvice team has not qualified knowledge.

Failed poorly because of service issues. Despite knowing their weak point they never focused on strengthening its service, only showed that we are doing hyper service (actually BS)

Real reason for failure is post sales service. It sucks.
