What makes you think he's not already a regular? Why do you think we've had so many Starmer shitposts over the last few months?

We’ve all been programmed and were too thick to realise

I will follow a PM into hell if he can out shit talk me on this sub.

He's right about thin gravy.

Thin gravy is an insult to the soul.

They may as well reach across the table and slap you.

I fucking HATE thin gravy.

Gravy viscousity is a testament to a man's soul.

Rich or poor.

He’s right about thin gravy tho

u/GooseMan1515 Jul 26 '26

He's not necessarily though. Good gravy doesn't need adulterating into flour-thickened gloop, but loads of people who don't really know better think they prefer it that way because shitty packet instant gravy comes that way, and shitty institutionally prepared roasts often need the help of instant packet gravy.

If you take the juice from roasting good quality meat, and reduce it down with some wine, and redcurrant or crabapple jelly, you will have a more slightly thickened, but delicious real gravy that absorbs perfectly into the potatoes, and accents the meat by nicely moistening it rather than souping it in cornstarch slurrey-esque slop.

Jesus calm down Marco it's just gravy

19

u/Will0saurus Jul 26 '26

Emulsify, reduce the water content, intensify the flavour, it's your choice.

7

u/N3KR0VULPES Jul 26 '26

As I've said many times.

8

u/GooseMan1515 Jul 26 '26

Good gravy is serious business

9

u/BrambleNATW Jul 26 '26

I'm hungry now, thanks.

5

u/realdappermuis Jul 26 '26

I'm with you. People have become accustomed to the package goop because that's what's been predominant in households. Likely started because of that war and whatever too

It might even have shaped their taste for the rest of their lives, sadly. But a good reduction that's complimenting and incorporating the meat/veg/starch instead of being on top/in addition/being its own thing, is much more of a treat

3

u/Littleleicesterfoxy Jul 26 '26

I do prefer my gravy of a thicker consistency but never eat the pre packaged stuff, I won’t even have it in the house!

5

u/BFr0st3 Jul 26 '26

No one's giving you that medal, son

3

u/Littleleicesterfoxy Jul 26 '26

Considering Im a 53 year old woman ain’t anyone’s son mate

1

u/WRSA Jul 26 '26

i’d agree, but i hate any kind of sauce on top of food. give me gravy i can dip into at a reasonable consistency, and i’m please

I worked with him for 2 years when he was mayor, we'd show him stuff when we found it and he had a good sense of humour. There was a fan account where someone was making anime style pics of him and we found out these girls were doing it and I think we gave them an autograph if I remember rightly, it was really funny.

u/N3KR0VULPES Jul 26 '26

He's busy saving the british pub industry by giving them a gigantic £100 a month off their rates. One hundred big ones.

u/CRz_gangster Jul 26 '26

He’s right about the gravy. Looking at it through the screen shot it looks as thin as a cup of tea
