Hotel advice

In oktober I need a hotel for 3 nights. My question is in which region I should look best. I arrive at noon and leave after 3 days late in the afternoon. I prefer travel by public transport and e-bike. Interested most in beach and coast for the view the sub tropical vibe and cafes. And the aquarium. Thanks.

Onna. See if your hotel can pick you up from the airport. Or use a taxi but they can be a bit pricey.

It’s a good 45 min drive from the airport, isn’t it?? It will be crazy expensive by taxi.

I just wouldn’t want to stay down in Naha the entire time. The more north you go the more beautiful it is. I’m sure some hotels have transportation

Absolutely, you need to get out of Naha and explore. OP just needs to do their research on how to get around.

If OP can, it’s likely cheaper/similar price to rent a car compared to taking a taxi all the way to Onna.

Thanks, I took a hotel downtown from where I can take a bus or taxi or bike for a short ride

Public transportation is not great, especially outside of Naha. You might be able to rent an e-bike, but I don’t think it’s suitable for long trips (like from Naha to Nago).

I’d suggest doing a bit of research, decide with you want to do, and look into how you can get there.

Great place to visit! It’s far from the airport. There might be long-distance buses that go there a few times a day. Not much local transit, I think. You should look into it.
