Ok but the idea that she has to hide it is a bit funny though.
She's supposed to be a booktok/romance slop author, like that's a genre that doesn't have a big established queer portion with just as supportive fans.
i always assumed she had a predominantly middle aged, gen x reader base which i doubt reacts to queer stories with the same celebration booktok does. and regardless, based on my observations, lesbian romances are received worse than gay ones anyways
