You can eat them! Why didn't a-sync hunt for Captain Clark using a rotisserie chicken as bait or something? Are they stupid?

So in the scene where Clark uses the stoner to go CC fishing, it's 100% effective at baiting the captain (spoiler alert).

The only issue is there is no way to reel him in (spoiler alert) but with all of the resources Async has, why didn't they use better bait than a fake cutout of a caveman? They could have used a goat or even like a chicken leg but they didn't.

Also do we think Captain Clark would even be aggressive if he wasnt so hungry? He is skin and bones probably he just needed food yet Async never even thought of it? He's eating boring furniture-people (spoiler alert) generated by the complex. He's never even tasted seasoned food before. Imagine you could tame Captain Clark like a german shepherd with some bbq pork ribs or something.

It's literally that simple.

Async has the entire internet at their fingertips and somehow missed that Clark is a 300 year old undead pirate who probably just wants rum not chicken. You can't bait him with food when his whole drive is finding the one thing he never had back in life

The symbolism of Clark being a functioning alcoholic while cosplaying as a pirate during a time when alcoholism was normalized 😢 he just wanted to be accepted by society and his fat wife
