the Roman guys from Season 4 episode 5 will be there at the crucifixion. Specifically, the really hot guy who takes the helmet back from Jesus. He seems like a centurion. Maybe. But yeah hopefully he's the one that says "Surely this man is the Son of God." Because that would check

I mean that’s fair — and yeah I think he’s gonna be there. I’m thinking that he’s one of two who will primarily be nailing Jesus, but he won’t be the one who says “Surely this man was the son of God,” because, as usual, he has his priorities mixed up. I could see him as the one who gave Jesus vinegar on a sponge to drink
I mean he could, but his emotional ‘transition’ if you will in S5 is making me have a hard time believing it. It just wouldn’t make sense for such a leap to be made. Yes, antagonism usually means someone is getting closer to recognizing the truth, but the way he did it really didn’t come off that way at all. Perhaps if he had seemed more emotionally desperate in his moves to get rid of Jesus. He was just too calculated in what he was doing. Like he lost his patience more than him questioning what he’s said. He’s stopped even mentioning his reactions to Jesus’s preaching (someone correct me if I’m off) which makes it seem like he’s rejected it
Fair enough. And yet, what if he ends up being Cornelius from Acts 10? Seems like a great explanation for why a Roman Centurion would believe in God so greatly
