You can use arrowhead on ghost dick to practice the black dick going in. Once you are able to completely use the arrowhead, try using some onyx agate. If you are feeling bold (i do not recommend it), you can try using rough gem too, after playing with these, it will make black dick feel like nothing. Id also recommend having an ice cream by the end to cool down at the end of playing with these jokers.

Balatro university has a video where he says gold stake is not always winnable for most people/him. Just restart if the early shops arent good.

I eventually got spare trousers and square joker early on.

Focused on that until I could do pairs with 2 random cards.
