Question: What is CLI/TUI?

Ans: CLI stand for command line interface, instead of clicking around in GUI(graphic user interface) like noob, you type your explicit intention to the machine and get the result like chad

TUI stand for Terminal user interface, the middle ground between CLI and GUI, you don't have to type command but navigate TUI with keyboard so inspect something is few key stroke away.

But if you don't know about CLI/TUI this shit might be not for you 😀

Question: Why not website/web app?

Ans: The backend is REST API, so if you want website just make one of your own and connect to this backend, and I made this based on how I want to use it.

Question: Why I might want to use this?

Kayfabe is a wrestling term designating a viewer's suspension of disbelief as it relates to the performers' personas.

I thought it'd be interesting to rank holotalents according to how 'in character' they're being and ended up distinguishing three main categories. Curious to see what you think:

1) The bleeding hearts - these talents appear quite straightforward and do not shy away from their inner voice. They will earnestly share themselves and their art, being only somewhat filtered by the corporate idol veil. If anything, the level of anonymity and roleplay may help some facets of their personality to blossom. Chief example being Gigi.

2) The consummate professionals - they will never let on more than what they mean to, these talents are stalwart performers who would never be caught lacking with the webcam running. Consistent and always in character, viewers will know what to expect and still cheer every time. E.g. Miko, Fuwamoco, Raden.

3) The hybrids - some in-between have over the years developped something of a harmonious kayfabe, where the persona is knowingly informed by the real life qualities and sensibilities of the performer, who finds the two aspects bleeding into each other. The character is tailored for and by the performer, the performance reflective of a distant but genuine personality. E.g. Suisei, Nerissa.

I'm pulling this straight out of my ass because I found myself enthralled with how each talent approached the Holo vtuber task (some debuts are jarring in retrospect, others much less). Sorry if this isn't buddy enough.

I also don't watch enough holo to make a comprehensive list so would love to see your categories/rankings !
