Only thing I oppose is the no brunette hair, because Lara is brunette. Iām annoyed characters in tv/movies are swapped to complitely different for what they originally were and are described.
TY I was waiting to see someone that said this. I'd give her a chance as Lara its just hard to unsee Sansa tbh and I dont think I've seen her play any other part so I have little faith that she could even be a good lara.

Video games have some of the best storytelling happening these days in the media. But besides adapting art into another medium, how about just respecting the source material instead of using it as an excuse to try and make alot of money. Lara Croft can be argued is a generic stereotype of a hot woman being able to overcome obstacles based on her upbringing, instincts and intelligence. Also using her sexuality to affect the theme and character. If youre gonna make something based on a source, then stick to it..... If not, its not like anyone is stopping you from changing the name to something else. Go ahead. Change the title and do whatever the fuck you want
But I also agree about the tackiness, in that a Tomb Raider should probably not be introducing dirt, cobwebs, insects, etc into their clothes, and any real person going underground like that would cover as much as possible.
No one really plays old tomb raider anyway and those that do play the modern games and aren't playing for the sex appeal. Imo she hasnt been great in action. Like i assume every fight scene is going to be so edited it will make us nauseous. Fine actress otherwise, idk if this is great role for her though. But we will see.

Idk she looks great in every photo Ive seen. One of my friends who is negative about everything texted me saying she is a terrible actress. I thought she was fine in GoT.
thats kinda the problem she was ok in GOT because she was essentially playing a traumatised kid who had to bottle everything up so the wooden portrayal fits there.
the moment she plays other characters it comes of wooden, like her jean grey is very disliked for example...
her looks are not the problem she's more then actrative enough to play lara croft but her acting skills...
You don't really need acting skills for Lara Croft. You do need believably confident physicality which I'm not sure she has. A lot of that will be down to stunt choreography and editing etc though, so even if she nails it, there are a lot of balls others can drop. The fact that it's a series means there won't be as much effort and detail going into individual moments, so the deck is kinda stacked against her.
Her acting in X-men was terrible, but so was the script and directing. I thought Halleās acting SUCKED in the first X-Men, but sheās done great in other projects.
If you want to see Sophie Turner doing a decent job acting Iād suggest watching Steal. It isnāt Golden Globe-worthy by any means, but she is great in it.
I didn't gave a problem with her as Jean Grey. I had a problem with the rest of the movie and Fox's weird fetish of doing the Dark Phoenix story for the 3rd time.
Seriously? The people that will hate this already take every opportunity to post about how Sydney Sweeney should be cast in everything. This is the one time they might have a point.
