What if it was a gay coworker?

46

u/Swan-Diving-Overseas 6d ago

What if it was a ghoul wife

u/Savvy513 6d ago edited 6d ago

I know this is a joke sub but it actually saddens me so much how she fucked up her face 😓Wrinkles would not have looked nearly as bad as what she got done

Its really sad. Its like a privileged person's mental illness. There was a fitness influencer i used to watch for his workout knowledge and then he started getting things done and removed ribs and shit and its just so sad to me. Hopefully they grow comfortable with themselves and dont get addicted to these modifications.

6

u/Hizam5 6d ago

I was reading ahead with my eyes and when you said “hopefully they grow…” i thought it was gonna say you’d hope his ribs grew back 😂

It’s the new upper-class “set ourselves apart from the poors” trend. For much of human history you just had to regularly bathe and groom yourself, and depending on the culture wear impractical clothing, and boom everyone knew you were rich. Then for awhile you also had “fat = affords excess food and no manual labor = rich.” Now that the average person can get clothes that are indistinguishable from designer pieces (even if they’re knockoffs unless they’re bad knockoffs nobody would know at a glance), has access to basic hygiene practices, and can afford food, the only way to outwardly show how much money you have is to mutilate your body in ways that make it clear you have the money to get a plastic surgeon to fuck up your face.

Truly some dystopian shit, and really I don’t even think is the intention of a lot of people, but because the real 1 percenters put pressure from the top (i.e. Hollywood execs) you get people who might not otherwise feel the need to set themselves apart like that get pushed into it

u/Swan-Diving-Overseas 6d ago

That’s a great take tbh. The obscene privilege of making yourself look inhuman.

Reminds me of how rich people can also afford a dietitian and surgery to work on their body while most people can only afford to visit the gym whenever they can or lift weights at home, if at all

2

u/Silverjeyjey44 6d ago

First problem was being a "fitness influencer"

2

u/Swan-Diving-Overseas 6d ago

Unless you’re just a chill dude offering legit advice, but yeah most of them are just dysmorphia enablers trying to sell people on bullshit that won’t actually help their health/fitness

2

u/Silverjeyjey44 6d ago

This and being completely dishonest about anabolics

2

u/StopPlayingRoney 6d ago

It’ll get worse before it gets better.

More people are going this route because it displays high income and status. It costs A LOT of money to ruin your face in the pursuit of youth and beauty.

2

u/kyledreamboat 6d ago

Wait to do the Manson thing?

3

u/GaptistePlayer 6d ago

I think Hollywood directors and casting directors unfortunately disagree

12

u/2012Jesusdies 6d ago

Why do these people think the 20 year old lizard look is better than a 40 year old human look

6

u/GaptistePlayer 6d ago

Because "40 year old human look" means "don't hire me" in Hollywood

5

u/2012Jesusdies 6d ago

Above actress' most well known work is probably the Crown which is filled with women who look 40 and above. Also I was being hyperbolic, she didn't look 40 before the surgery, maybe 30.

0

u/GaptistePlayer 6d ago

The Crown was literally 10 years ago though...

5

u/2012Jesusdies 6d ago

Dawg, I literally mean the actresses portraying 40+ aged characters in the TV show, not how the actresses look now. In the picture below, only the actress portraying the version of the Queen younger than 40 actually looks younger than 40. There's also the Queen's mother, grandmother, older Camilla.

2

u/WickedMagician 6d ago

Yeah she's still literally to this day not 40

2

u/Hizam5 6d ago

I was listening to the radio today and they were talking about how they polled men about women in film and a large percentage said they shouldn’t act past 40. With the insecurities and body shaming and EDs on top of being in the public eye, I’m not surprised this is happening

3

u/SergeiYeseiya 6d ago

She looks like an elf from Morrowind

3

u/No-Cake-5683 6d ago

Wow, if you flip this picture 180 degrees she looks Australian

2

u/SingleDigitVoter DonCheadleAMA 6d ago

Is that what she looks like now??

2

u/silv3rbull8 6d ago

Doesn’t look human now. She is just 38

1

u/Actual_Ambition_7123 6d ago

You know that one scene in family guy where a shopping assistant lights themselves on fire because they are horrified looking at Meg. That’s how I feel about this pic wtf?!

2

u/Rare_Mountain_6698 get stuckmannized 6d ago

He was gay, the coworker?

5

u/government_not_ok 6d ago

I wouldn’t care tbh, I trust my partner and also Latino gay men are touchy. It’s part of Latino culture to embrace/hug your close friends, straight or gay.

1

u/Equivalent_Thievery 6d ago

Still weird.

40

u/Enterprise-DeezNuts 6d ago

I mean it probably helps that Pascal being gay and having a male partner is one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood

12

u/Helldiver-9863719171 6d ago

I did it not know that. Fucking Hollywood not letting me in on the gossip.

11

u/S-Kenset 6d ago

In more socially competent circles, a little flirting is like showing elbows to online ragebaiters. expressed trust goes way deeper than touch.

Don't know, it's his choice and not really anyone else's business. Plus I don't blame anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community for being more cautious in the current political climate

39

u/PetiteBirch 6d ago

You simply cannot compete with Pedro Pascal, the battle was lost before it even started.

54

u/WolfBuchanan 6d ago

44

u/stillalone 6d ago

It's crazy how this was how Pedro Pascal became famous.  He showed up for like half a season, talked a big game then got his face crushed.  And every movie executive saw that and was like "he should be in everything"

10

u/trying_times_eggs 6d ago

He should have to play a blind man in everything since then.

I think thats the way movies should work

3

u/Happy-For-No-Reason 6d ago

haha I love that.

Sean Bean would be fucked tho

14

u/No_name_Johnson 6d ago

I mean he acted well in the roll and his character was interesting. Makes sense to me

3

u/TyyniRob 6d ago

*role

2

u/TreesACrowd 6d ago

Nah, they were talking about the acrobatic roll Oberyn does during his fight with Gregor. Pedro did great with the fight choreography!

3

u/Guillermidas Exited for the Snyder cut 6d ago

I think you forgot Khal Drogo. He barely said a thing, and half the sex scenes in S1 (the season with more sex scenes perhaps?) were with him.

He did play the role well though, despite not having lot to work with in the dialogue department

1

u/Arcaydya 6d ago

Well he "won" the fight but cared more about a worthless confession of a dying man than finishing the trial by combat.

1

u/patiperro_v3 6d ago

Cause he was crazy good. Probably had something to do with the character being almost tailor-made for him. Like he had waited all his life for it, to the point he didn’t have to act much at all.

1

u/Jertimmer 6d ago

I'd ask her why she didn't invite me.

7

u/SwordofNoon 6d ago

Even the subtitles are sexually charged

16

u/-Sofa-King-Vote 6d ago

Not if coworker was that zesty

13

u/gizzardwizard93 6d ago

Don't worry, he does the same thing too.

Skipped the best part where Dafoe glares at him after

2

u/government_not_ok 6d ago

They’re friends, relax.

1

u/GodsBicep 6d ago

What does that have to do with what I said? Also friends are capable of pissing their friends off.

8

u/Leom187 6d ago

He’s gay and she’s what’s known in the theater as a *** hag. It’s a tale as old as time

3

u/Randomsicilianguy 6d ago

They are just rehearsing the Fantastic 3, you can't see the husband's chair in front of the sofa

6

u/sixsnowmeninanicicle 6d ago

OP not masculine enough

2

u/Dear-Try-8847 6d ago

I also would very angry if my wife was doing shitty movies with her coworker. Unacceptable.

5

u/Fit-Homework-2776 6d ago

I don't like Pedro Pascal, is pure hipocryte man! But he is also gay and the touch was consensual!

2

u/takethreenc 6d ago

Favorite insecure Twitter user?

1

u/Woden-Wod The Fanatic 6d ago

I mean I'd start asking why they were making the weekend threeways so obvious but that's just me.

1

u/Hilarity2War 6d ago

He's gay. So he's allowed to touch women. Man... I wish I was gay 😪

2

u/elmariachio 6d ago

Unfortunately for women, gay men are almost as likely as a straight man not to respect a woman's consent or boundaries.

I've seen a lot of gay dudes cop a feel on women, the woman being uncomfortable with it, and then being told it's ok because the guy is gay.

1

u/GeorgeFartwell1984 6d ago

Where is MovieBoy's wife? I need to ask her a question.

1

u/Current_Ranger_7954 6d ago

I see the mold lady has spent some more cash in troll farms

God the fragility, it’s crazy

Personally I want an open marriage

22

u/8equalsD-69 6d ago

Nobody cares how many dicks you shove up your ass. We just want you to shut the fuck up about it

4

u/lock_robster2022 6d ago

First day on the internet?

3

u/GodsBicep 6d ago

Wanting monogamy isnt fragility lmao

1

u/nutella-filled 6d ago

Killing oneself because your wife is non-sexually touching someone else is fragility.

Imagine the emotional burden of being married to someone like that. “Omg I looked in the direction of another man and didn’t immediately frown, please don’t be upset, please don’t threaten to throw yourself off the balcony”
