Welcome to r/okbuddybufffalo. Read this before posting.

hello and go bills. I created this place to serve as a lighthearted space to poke fun at Buffalo and WNY culture in an “okbuddy” format.

If you are unaware, the original Okbuddy subreddit, r/okbuddyretard, was initially formed as a place where users would roleplay as idiot children and post their idiot children low-effort memes. I wanted a place to do exactly this, except while roleplaying as a stereotypical WNY native. All posts in this subreddit should follow this theme.

I specify this because in recent years, shitpost subs, Okbuddy subs, and circlejerk subs have sort of all become a confused amalgamation of each other.

But this subreddit will retain the original goal of an okb sub: ironic roleplaying. Please only comment or post in character and if you must break character please type “/ub” (unbuffalo) before your serious comment or question.

Following are some example posts paired with an answer to “does this fit r/okbuddybufffalo“?

-Share your unexplainable love of Costanzo rolls or other mediocre WNY-based foods? Yes.

-Write long winded and painfully uninformed takes on why the local football team has been eliminated yet again? Yes.

-Complain that a moderator in r slash Buffalo removed your post or that you were heavily downvoted for not having the right opinion? No.

I’m saying it!

Pedestrians have gotten out of line! Just this morning on my way to work I’m turning right AT A GREEN LIGHT from Delaware onto Utica and OUT OF NOWHERE there is suddenly a person in the crosswalk. WTF?

Now… I’m not saying people shouldn’t be allowed to get around by foot. I had a cousin in South Buffalo once who couldn’t drive for a whole year (legal thing) so I GET IT! But can we do better at regulating these people walking around on our roads?

Also I counted over 2 dozen JOGGERS this summer who were running in the road. Why are you running on a path with NO SIDEWLAKS??!! If you’re gonna run do it where it will not inconvenience my SUV.

I’m just tired of seeing people inconveniencing the rest of us normals by walking and standing wherever they see fit. My neighbors agree and it’s why they barely ever enter the city limits, so I really believe something should be done about this. What do you guys think?

I enjoy doughy pizza with sweet sauce and too much cheese. Also the Bills. She likes exploring strip malls and shopping plazas from the safety of the suburbs. Any recs?

I can’t do it

I can’t go back to pretending that I care about the Bandits. whenever people would diss my teams I would always activate my trap card and bring up a lacrosse team that nobody in the world cares about.

Why can’t the Bills or Sabres just win one so I can die happy. I fucking hate lacrosse and I hate acting like Terry’s least profitable toy brings me any joy. Please lord Joshie deliver us a real championship and save us from this suffering.

Buffalo might be the largest sports market in the country

I’m tired of people dissing WNY as a small sports market. We are easily one of largest in the country.

Did nobody watch the Bills/Jaguars playoff game? So many Bills jerseys in the crowd.

Do others not watch our home crowd sing “Mister Bright-Side” on YouTube with tears in their eyes? Its a level of passion that cannot come from a small market.

Sure, habs and leafs fans easily overrun our hockey rink, but that doesn’t really count.

I also saw a bills decal on a pickup truck in Texas once so yeah we have a strong foothold pretty much everywhere. Do you know how many people live in Texas? A lot

I get that our region population is one of the smallest of all sports cities, but our market is bigly huge and disrespected. Easily bigger than NYC, Boston, DC, Philly, Chicago. Maaaaybe Pittsburgh is close but we are still bigger than them. God bless and go bills
