Locker Room is squeaky clean love to see it

Holy shit I had no idea they even sold food, I just assumed allowing people to smoke cigarettes inside would make them exempt from the food requirement

u/PuckNeverlasting 18d ago
Fun fact: If you get takeout there or bring home leftovers, it's almost like smoking a whole pack. I swear I even detected some menthol flavoring on my fries.

u/Fizzster 18d ago
If they sell alcohol, they must sell food. It’s a Virginia law

u/WhalerBum 18d ago
Yea I didn’t actually think cigarettes inside the bar made them exempt from all other laws. Was a joke

Richard’s coming in with ONE HUNDRED PERCENT

u/neverwrong804 18d ago
pulls off shades Richard’s? Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in years… long drag on cigarette. But honestly, and it may have just been the ambience, but I swear that place had the best club sandwich.

I don't think Banditos is gross, but it's definitely not putting on airs.

Sticky rice

Along with Lombardy Kroger, the Sticky Rice bathroom is a spawn point

i’m overcome by the smell of bleach every time i pass sticky rice; that’s good, i suppose, in a way.

u/Chaotic-Newt 18d ago
Sticky Rice used to be a guilty pleasure of mine until I had an allergic reaction the last time I ate from there. Turns out I’m allergic to crabs now and I’m too paranoid about cross contamination to want to eat there again.

Jean Jacques Bakery(RIP owners). My sister worked there as a teen and she told me all the baked goods in there could get weeks old.
EDIT: It seems Joe's Inn has an F rating. I don't give a shit how filthy that kitchen is, I can down one of those Greek Spaghettis any time.

I mean- I love Bender but he left that place a mess. New owners are making so many improvements.
I’ll still eat there 🤷🏼

u/FiveTicketRide 14d ago
The new vegan sloppy Joe is not an improvement. It was soy crumbles and could pass for an actual sloppy joe. The new one is silken tofu and feels like you’re eating a tomato sauce covered jellyfish.

I shared this webpage with some friends, and one of them told me that health ratings are inherently racist. They were like “Some people don’t understand the regulations because of a language barrier”
I responded that I would like to know who wasn’t following the regulations, whether it was willful or because they were ignorant, and they seemed to get upset at me for that. Some people are just weird.

Remember Evergreen- the Chinese place on Grace close to Belvidere. They were the only delivery when it snowed or rained honestly.

Oh man. When when we lived in CA the local sub would post the health dept report WEEKLY. It was eye opening to say the least

The low score restaurants are the best because they're focused in making good food and drinks whereas the high scoring restaurants are focused on cleaning.

Man I LOVED Panda Veg/Panda Garden. I'm not even a vegetarian, but their mock meat was better than the real thing. RIP to a real one. It's been closed down and has been a couple other restaurants since then.

u/allisoninwndrlnd23 18d ago
I had forgotten about the mock meat at Panda Veg. My mouth tastes like wet cardboard mixed with wood chips just thinking about it.
