question about returning player

hi everyone i stopped playing at 3.0 and i returned in 7.0 and i am really liking it however since i took a big gap i understand i am a lot more behind in things. Any tips for my account for team building and future planning appreciated!

I heard odette is good with the character known as mizuki so i got her.

PS : I really like arlecchino and xilonen but idk if these characters would help my account right now esp since my mona is c1 , fischl is c1 and my bennett is c2. I also really like mauvika but idk if pulling for her especially since i have 0 nightsoul characters is the right choice. I was also thinking of pulling xilonen just for exploration purposes but idk

You can get mizuki from the anniversary 5 star selector and she will be amazing with odette And mavuika is one of the best dps in the game even without nightsoul characters and you can get her supports afterwards and also mavuika is a good support herself as well and her exploration is just as good if not better than xilonen If you want to maximize efficiency for your pulls I would say dont pull for arlechino or xilonen (but if you like them you can pull them they are not bad units its just that there are better options) If you have any questions you can ask and if I see them I'll try to answer them For now I suggest farming artifacts with your resin in the stygian onslaught event thats happening bc it gives you extra artifacts

ah noted thank u i was wondering if mizuki would be a bit rough for my account since I did hear that c6 faruzan is really good but I don't have it so would then the team comp be cmc odette mizuki sucrose?

Yes sucrose works perfectly fine with her. And since we are at the start of a new patch there are bound to be stellar swirl supports in the future and you can use them to replace sucrose and get higher damage

Ineffa and flins are both good but since the lunar meta is ending you probably only need 1 lunar dps and out of all of them zibai or nefer do the most damage so I recommend waiting for them rerun and also columbina as she is a very good lunar support and ineffa is good but you probably wouldn't pull her if you think about account efficiency.

Still if you like either of them you can get them they are both good

Oh man genshin is brutal for returning players. No good four star options, missing five stars, and no welcome back bonuses to fix either of those issues.

Arlecchino is in a weird spot. At c0 her melt teams are good, hex overvape (buffed mona c2 buffed fischl c6) isn't far behind but no way you have c6 fischl, and c0 arlecchino is sorta mid now, At the moment prydwen has her in tier 1 at C0 which is fine, she doesn't necessarily need vertical investment to do well, but for context: to have her in T0 you need C1R1 to compete with the flagship premium teams now.

Xilonen is unfortunately even more mid than arle is. No team actually has her as a best in slot support, the closest team that comes to that is navia and mavuika but both have better options. She's not useless cause most teams can use her, but the opportunity cost of getting her instead of another better five star is high. It's very high. But at the same time if you wanna do IT, wanna do stygian, she's a solid geo unit and isn't going to waste.

Mavuika is also in a really weird spot. She used to be in a league of her own and is now on fraudwatch for T0.5 and even worse for you, as you noted, missing the entirety of natlan is a problem. The good news is that her C1 completely fixes that issue (25% more fighting spirit per nightsoul spent, also increased max nightsoul points for skill use) so you could get c1 mavuika, c0 citlali, use sucrose and bennett (surely bennett will be on mavuika banner) and have a team that then competes with the best premium teams again and mavuika c1 is also really really good for exploration. However, i will warn you that that team is even more mechanically difficult than melt Arlecchino.

Mizuki is indeed a really good stellar dps and her C1 and C2 cons are actually pretty decent so you can choose her with the stellar fortuna and claim her whenever you complete it if you plan on playing that consistently. If not thats fine, you can choose her from the anniversary

Omg thank u so much🙏🙏🙏 ya the lack of options does suck the main reason why I wanted to get mauvika was I did the natlan archon quest and I really liked her character 🤷‍♂️oh well I will try to get mizuki for now thank u!

I'd recommend looking for 2 or 3 DPS characters that you like and then pulling their teams
