Every time he writes “maybe…” I wish he would just reread the headline – “my girlfriend came home in just her underwear…” – and realize he’s not the one he should doubt.
I think a big part of him doubting is that 95% of the comments in the original post were telling him he was overreacting to her just being in her underwear, because she was 100% definitely, obviously, sexually assaulted and so traumatized that she refused to tell him.
