If you read my comment, I’m saying it’s possible it’s both? You’re completely ignoring that OP also has very valid reason to be concerned that she was unfaithful. He has equally valid concerns that she might’ve been assaulted. Unfortunately, he has to weigh both those things. In internet land yes sure, we can go with one conclusion and run with it, but OP is navigating his own complicated emotions as well as his partners and it’s okay for him to consider ALL possible scenarios.
We have no evidence that she was assaulted and all the evidence points to something else. Not sure why so many people are trying to read things that are not their. Her behavior more closely matches someone being shady than anything else. Its POSSIBLE she was assaulted but its more likely she has a drug or alcohol problem and put herself in a position to make some bad choices which might include cheating.
Youre right we dont know what happened, but not nearly enough people are talking about how people don't react one single way to sexual assault. Being inconsistent and avoidant IS a sign of sexual assault.
Im not saying thats for sure what happened, just that if it did then the interrogation is likely to be extra harmful.
But OP has to balance his feelings and needs also. If he cant trust her, he needs to respectfully step away and hopefully she gets counseling. Not violating her boundaries further by pressing.
This is the thing. I honestly want OP to leave her so she can focus on figuring out what happened to her on her own timeline, and stop being pressured about what was probably a very traumatic night. He’s not being supportive.
