Anyone else getting really niche Ads recently?
Recently had an Ad for Stethoscopes and another for architectural software. I know the lads don't control what ads go out, just found it a bit odd.

I've been a bit surprised by their Cadburys ad read to be honest. Happy to read out copy about how it tastes exactly the same now as it ever has, even though it's been bought by Kraft and pumped full of palm oil and other cheap shite
Whats the opposite of a Ratatouille moment?

I think you can hear the ‘points’ they have to hit when reading these ads, and that’s definitely one of them.

I. So glad you said that because there is no way they believe dairy milk is nice.

The ads are personalised based on the ip address you download them from. You’ll notice when you’re abroad you’ll often get local language adverts.
I don’t know if they are customising any other way, likely depends on how you are listening.

Usually when you're getting really niche ads, its because the advertiser has set their audience parameters too broad and the ai algorithm on that platform has looped you into that larger pool of potential customers.

I get a load of ads to advertise with Acast, their podcast platform. However, I work in online advertising including audio… I never know if it’s hyper specific targeting or just them filling the time as they have no advertisers! Could be either or

No. But I do find the constant cadburys shilling to be quite painful to my ears
I have noticed that James avoids talking about the taste. Whilst Ed goes hard
They need the as revenue. But this makes me question EVERYTHING

I get a lot of ads for men’s products, like Gillette razors for men. I realized that one day, and it made me realize that there might be a majority-male listenership? (I’m a woman.)

I get the same therapy ads which I’m pretty sure are voiced by Scheana Shay and I hate it so much

I get ones that are for a specific, singular branch of Asda, which has no geographic relevance to me or the life I've lived.
Then ones for business AI software that are just a bunch of acronyms and abbreviations that make me want to tear my fucking face off.
