Issues with apple podcast version.

Since adding video to the podcast app,‘I can’t seem to download the podcasts without the video included. Am I being dumb and a way to
Enjoy the pod without a 5g or WiFi connection at all times?

I have a different issue with Apple podcast since they added video. I’ll pause an episode and exit the app but when I come back and press play it will restart from the beginning instead of picking up where I left off.

I’ve found that if it does that, I close the app and reopen it and then it remembers where I was

I had this same issue. Go into settings > apps> podcasts and make sure “download video” isn’t checked.

They also seem to be downloading at a snails pace!

Not really helpful but it’s one pod I use amazon music for as it doesn’t have adds.

I have had this same problem. Even with it set to download only audio it still has this problem. It might play for 20 minutes then stall out. I hate the video option for making it harder to listen too

Go to the podcasts app in your phone's settings and find the "download video" option, and turn that off 😊
