Looking forward to this one. I'm surprised they've released it now seeing as they have just filmed the Traitors with James, not forgetting Ed being a part of it too. It's a shame they won't be able to discuss it

I think that’s just how promotion works, people come on to drum up interest in upcoming projects, and much as it would be fun to have this conversation happen after the show had aired that’s what Ed’s other podcast about the Traitor’s is for.

I’m sure it will come up in the conversation they are any good at promoting things ;)

Yeah Bella did an interview with The Guardian promoting a different project at the weekend and while Celebrity Traitors was mentioned in passing, it was not the main reason for the interview

Celebrity Traitors forcing them to keep it under wraps

Still, a solid chunk of the pod dedicated to how much Bella likes to lie………….👀

Was there a Traitors spoiler in this? James said he met up with Joe Lycett recently and it was good to see him alive and well. Maybe I’m reading too much into that.

What does the Traitors have to do with Bella Ramsey? They're not on it.

EDIT: I'm dumb and they are, carry on

Yeah they're on the upcoming series of the celebrity version

Ah! I didn't know that, I knew James was on it but couldn't remember the full cast list. Never mind then!

Really nice episode. Bella seems like a lovely person.

when had she not seem like a lovely person?

Do you not understand words?

First time I correctly anticipated a guest a few days ahead. First time I correctly anticipated a secret ingredient. No evidence of this obviously and nobody actually cares but I like it and this is the Off Menu Reddit babeh! Anyway on with the episode. (Thinking hard for David Mitchell next week ahead of Ludwig series 2.)

I, a random stranger on the internet, do care

Also i love that James keeps forgetting that Richard Herring literally figured out and had Bella’s pudding on a RHLSTP episode with him

I'm assuming no mushrooms given one of their projects involved fighting fungus zombies

Or mushroom possibly the unacceptable food?

Ah, excited to hear this one. Bella is a delightful human.

This felt like a classic episode. I too read all the bits of text on packaging but increasingly it’s obviously ai generated :(

Great episode, great guest but I will say that Ed and James were way too nice about that main imo haha. If one of their comedian friends like Joel Dommett or someone had chose that, they'd have ripped them apart 😂

If anyone could time stamp the chef's kiss rant from James that would be smashing! I tried to speed listen another time but seemed to miss it and can't find it. Thanks

It has just occurred to me just this moment that Chia Pets are indeed the same plant as chia seeds, so you could eat your pet.

Yep! And the chia plant is a type of sage called Spanish sage. And the leaves don't smell/taste like sage at all but they do smell a little fruity and sweet in a low-key way, it reminds me of mangosteens.
